| Members of the 173rd airborne attend Jungle Training in Vietnam. Men of the unit were involved in "Operation Junction City" which was the cover story in March of Time Life Magazine in 1967 as the Paratroopers launched a massive air invasion in the Jungle of South Vietnam. As a member of the LRRP's, their mission were in small numbers, as they neared the area of "Dak-To" in South Vietnam. Caught in heavy ambush fire, several members were killed. |
