TODAY I TOUCHED YOUR WALL

I touched, I remembered hero's so brave

so many veterans so many names

how can I tell you the words I feel

paralyzed In thought here as I kneel

so many friends,  fathers and son's

lost in a war that could not be won

I honor you for your great deeds

your bravery in which I  shall always feed

knowledge of what you have bared

touching your names showing I care

those who returned will always be scared

for the cost of our freedom forever marred

my face dampened from all the tears

as I remember you year after year

this memorial glows day after day

a shinning light which will never fade

from this wall you shall never fall

Today my friends, "I touched your wall"
