Those Who Came Home As Veterans we should all be proud Yet some who returned home were not allowed A lack of respect, no job's in sight They fought for their country with all their might Many hurt and disabled, not able to adjust The look's they received were those of discuss Living in the streets, of an unwanted city As people walked by, having no pity Respect they deserved, but did not receive Most of them told to get up and leave An unsure future with no place to go another corner an alley, into they would flow A different story when they protected us Fighting a war, that was not their choice, it was a must Many died for you, and could not return There is a story that has to be learned When you're out in a city having a great time A once proud Veteran you will probably find When roaming the streets, do not neglect This once proud Vet deserves some respect
