THE REUNION

Walking silently gazing at the WALL

All these great men who answered the call

Fathers, Mothers, Daughters and Sons

Reaching and touching,  names of their loved ones

Many years have come and gone, memories still fresh

As tears dampen our faces, no more no less

A reminder in granite, of those who died

A wonderful tribute we touch with pride

As thousands upon thousands visit the past

Assuring all  loved ones their memories will last

The Veterans who visit stare in disbelief

So many names, sharing the grief

Best friends, good buddies, "My God what a loss"

All these Vets, what a terrible cost

This "WALL" of many friends stays always on our minds

For the Vet's who are there, better friends, we could not find

It's so hard to turn and walk away

I think they know, we'll be back another day

So our brothers, one's so brave

We will never forget, the lives that you saved
