RESTLESS CLOUDS
Gazing, into cloud filled skies
old friends, old memories reappearing before our eyes
familiar masts take form's to see
some smile, some frown as they flow so free
Bright white, dark images passing above
The dark sending tears the white sending love
white is happiness, for all to absorb
dark brings the emptiness left by the war
Some coming together, dulling the pain
telling loved one's their death not in vain
go forward with your lives, but never forget
we did this for all, we served to protect
When dark clouds form think of us
the color will change and rid it's crust
a certain brightness will enter your soul
knowing we've walked the streets of gold
A feeling of fulfillment will brighten your days
dimming the emptiness, paving your way
someday soon in this promised land
again we will walk hand in hand
