ONE WHO CAME HOME When I left for 'Nam I was a Man Now I don't know who the hell I am Knowing my own mind is a thing of the past "My God, who am I? How long will this last? Who was I before? What was my life? Can't seem to focus, Do I have a wife? They sent me home after a long VA Stay "Don't worry son you'll be OK" Flashbacks of horror, are all I can see Don't understand what's happening to me People stare when i walk the streets I feel so lonely, I am so weak I fought a war, Don't even know why My eyes are glassy, I'm going to cry Please help me Lord, for I am lost I'm paying the price, "what a cost" There's more like me scattered all over this land Help them to Lord, Help every Man It's beside you my Master, where I must be Because this land, is not for me
