December Seventh

"Old Glory Fly's All Shattered And Torn"

Early morning back in forty-one

As the sun was rising, chores being done

Japanese pilots broke into our space

Their aircraft carriers also in place

No one prepared for what was to come

Arriving with vengeance the war had begun

Out on the Pacific that horrible day

Most of our soldiers had no time to pray

This ungodly act destroyed most of our crew's

And was the beginning of World War2

This December day we shall never forget

A mistake they made..... and will regret

Hundreds perished not knowing why

As bombs of destruction dropped from the sky

Our hearts go out to these women and men

For the pain we feel........ will never end

More than sixty years now have passed

School children learning, question's asked

Will the answers they learn be enough?

Pearl Harbors history....must be discussed
