This spell enables the caster to attempt to bind the offspring of the wizards existing familiar as Find Familiar. The wizard must assist in the birthing process the pregnant familiar goes through. Once the birth is complete, the wizard must choose one baby and cast the spell on it. Familiar Midwifery ensures successful, healthy births by familiars. Find Familiar must be cast within 10  rounds after the birth,  to ensure the newly born creature will faithfully join its mother in servitude. Of course, only truly dedicated wizards bind their familiars’ offspring since the newborn requires a great deal of attention and may not adventure with its new master until it would leave its mother is naturally. The material components are a two handfuls of choice foods and drinks of the creature, as well as, an amount of purified, boiling hot water, all of which are consumed in the casting.
