Big Joe began carving Big Heads a few years ago and is becoming known for them. Here are some he's done, with more to come! They are carved using mostly Basswood or Poplar. Most stand between 18 to 22" tall and weigh in at 25 to 30 lbs. There is some weight involved. To help reduce the weight and to help preserve the piece, Big Joe drills a good size hole in the bottom.
