Wolves

A lot of people have a wrong impression about wolves. Most of them think that they have no meaning on this world and that they are only here to destroy. This impression comes from many centuries ago and has held it's ground till this day. The wolf is usually represented as the "bad guy" in many fairytales which many of you have been told when you were kids. The most known of all are "The Little Red Riding Hood" and "The Three Little Pigs". They make the wolf look like a monster which is VERY wrong! A wolf will avoid human encounters at all times and there have been no reports of a healthy wolf attacking a human. Wolves are a very important animal in the ecosystem and for the food chain aswell. They are the ones who keep our woods clean (killing weak animals and keeping the prey population at a normal level) so you see, they are quite important to nature.

A big threat to wolves are farmers who shoot a wolf at site because they are "invading" their grazing grounds. At this time we should as ourselves "Are they really invading? Wasn't that their territory??". Yes it was their territory but we destroyed it and every day too many natural habitat disappears for our needs and that is why wolves are forced to roam on the "private" lands. There is no land for them to be on, most of it is gone! Because wolves have too little land to be on, large wolf populations are in some places and so the government is forced to put some of them down, but I ask myself  "Can't we just relocate them?" It would solve a lot of problems if they'd do that including encounters with farmers or other people.

"Sometimes I just wonder, when are we going to learn that we are not the only ones on this world!"
