Terry Clark
Mandolin, Fiddle, Guitar, Vocals
Terry was born in Rockingham, NC and works at a textile manufacturing concern as did his parents.  He comes from a musical family as his father played in bands during World War 2 and his uncle was a professional musican who played in several bands including Tex Ritters Texas Rangers

Terry first picked up a guitar in an attempt to learn to play it at the age of 14 without much success.  It wasn't until the age of 42 that, upon finding the fiddle which belonged to his grandfather, decided to try playing that instead.  He had enjoyed the fiddle playing of
Charlie Daniels as a teenager and with the rise in popularity of the Dixie Chicks, he was ultimately inspired by the playing of Martie Slidel.  It was his hope to learn to play it as a suprise for his father at an upcoming reunion.  Unfortunately, his father passed before he ever heard his son play his fathers fiddle.

In 2005, Terry realized the need to move to mandolin, as this position was unfilled after the departure of Arthur Downs, and the fact that there was no need for two fiddles in the group.  This move has added a new dimension to the
Outback sound as he has grown as a musician and band member. He is now featured on many songs and even picks up a guitar to back Jim on a few songs.

Although he is less experienced than some musicians in the band, Terry is rapidly making giant strides in his abilities.  He also acts as webmaster for this web site and is the person who answers your e-mails
