Sunday, December 3, 2000, cont'd
After lunch, we took off for the Strip. We walked. It was quite a trek.

We took a few pictures of the hotel from the walkway over the highway.
We saw some of the fountain show on the way to the MGM.
We passed by the Harley Davidson Cafe....... complete with lighted reindeer on a shrub-shaped Harley!
We saw a cow stature, and Maggie stood by it for pictures. There was this very big bright yellow thing up in the sky.... hurt our eyes!

We went to the MGM to see the Lion Habitat. They are supposed to have baby lions that you can have your picture taken with, but we were there at the wrong time... the baby lions were too big for pictures. Oh well. Maybe next time.
We went to the NYNY, via the bridge over the Strip from the MGM to the NYNY.

While Maggie and Cheryl went to ride the roller coaster, Amy and I went in a gift shop, and played the slots. We each put a dollar into a dollar slot machine, just to have the coin for a souvenir. I played a 5 cent Haywire machine, and broke exactly even. We got lost trying to find the exit we were meeting Maggie and Cheryl at. After we found them, Cheryl was playing a slot machine, so I put some in..... lost about 5 dollars. Cheryl couldn't lose.
