BIO

Where to begin, where to begin? Well let me go back about a year or so to June of 2000. The beginnings of Our Own Fan Club were then at Narberth field. Their name was Pride of the Amish and Joe and Tim took the stage with their friends Dash and Rafe to play battle of the bands, they sucked horribly and lost. After that they realized that Dash had to go, he was kicked out of the band. Rafe later left because of artistic difficulties. Well, there was a lot of down time about here.

Nothing really happened until December when Tim met me. It was a fateful night at Napoli guitar studio, I was reading their flyer for a new bassist and Tim was standing behind me. Well later that week we were off making music, we needed polishing, A LOT of polishing, but the roots of a great sound had been laid.

We continued to play under the name Pride of the Amish up through our debut show at the TLA (ha, yea I know it seems far fetched, it was just a battle of the bands). All the while I had been wanting to find another bassist so I could play second guitar. That was never working out, but then my friend Tom stepped up to play second guitar. I'm fucked again! Oh, but what the hell, hes better than me anyway to Tom was added to our entourage and the line up was complete. Theres only one thing more we needed to do, distance ourselves from Pride of the Amish. The Pride of the Amish had already been destroyed at two battle of the bands, we didnt need that following us as we entered our third. So the name change was made official, we shall be known as Our Own Fan Club.

And again we came to Narberth to compete. This time we had four talented members, good songs to play and a newly polished sound. We took the stage and triumphed, well sort of. We placed second. I bet you wish you had our $25 second prize, so ha!

Any way that about brings us to the present. We are constantly learning new covers and writing new originals so I recommend you come check us out next time were playing. Well if youve read this far Im going to assume you have absolutely nothing better to do then to hop on over to the THE BAND section of the site where our individual bios are posted. Later on.
