Day 5: Early Wednesday morning, Mia said good-bye to Aidan and John Paul before heading back to South Carolina. Aidan crawled into John Paul's Moses basket to play while John Paul was fast asleep. Later, we drove to Mommy's chiropractor's office for a much needed post-birth adjustment. She popped all over and is looking forward to everything getting back into place! |

Day 6: Mommy's post-partum nurse came to visit to check on the baby and to check on Mommy. Laurel, Mommy's birthing nurse, couldn't come this time because she said Mommy started a wave of births at the birth center and she was attending to them! Molly came to visit in her place and she was really nice! She said baby and I were 100% healthy! During the visit, Aidan kept going through her nurses bag so Molly was nice enough to give him her stethoscope to play with. Dr. Aidan? |

After Molly left, we went to the Carroll County Hospital breastfeeding support group that Aidan and Mommy go to every Thursday to weigh Aidan and to hang out with other breastfeeding moms and babies for an hour. If we ever have a question, there's one of two lactation consultants there to answer our questions.
Today, Barbara was the LC there and so many other moms and babies. Everyone was glad to see Mommy and meet John Paul. We weighed John Paul only this week. He had gained back up to his birth weight and was again 8lbs even after just 2 days of Mommy's milk coming in!
Afterwards, we walked to the building next door to see if Mr. Bordenick, Aidan and John Paul's audiologist, could see John Paul and test his hearing as required by state law. He agreed to see us without an appointment and John Paul's hearing tested perfect! |
