For Hip Dysplasia - the dog must be x-rayed on or before the age of 24 months and the x-ray submitted to the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals). If the dog is found to be dysplasic by the OFA: (mild, moderate or severe) then you would be entitled to a replacement puppy or refund under the guarantee if all other conditions are met as well. |
| For Genetic Cataracts, PRA or Other Genetic Eye Defects: If it will affect the overall original purpose for purchasing the dog, ie: (show conformation or competition field training), you must obtain a written confirmation from a certified veterinary opthamologist stating there is a congenital defect & the report must be sent to the Canine Eye Foundation (CERF) for their final decision. If CERF finds a defect, then you would be entitled to a replacement puppy or refund under the guarantee if all other conditions are met as well. |
