Calendar for praying the “Step by Step” Online Retreat

along with the liturgical year 2009-2010

You should feel free to begin the retreat and do the Steps with your own pace, but if you wish you can follow this schedule that tries to harmonize the retreat with the celebrations of the liturgical year.  So you will contemplate the mystery of the Incarnation and of the birth of Jesus around Christmas and the Passion and Resurrection around Easter.

First we take the Steps biweekly that gives time to get familiar with the method, to experiment, to find the best place and time of the day for prayer and so on. Then we will go mainly with weekly exercises – except that for some demanding meditations (like Steps 11-13) and with the theme of the Resurrection and Pentecost we will go again with a slower, biweekly pace. During the holy Week we make out prayer more intense to contemplate the events of the passion and arrive to the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

The Retreat ends at Pentecost with the “Contemplation to attain the love of God” that will lead us to the “ordinary” times of daily life in the aftermath of the retreat.

If you have any questions or comments, contact us by e-mail . The best is to join to share your spiritual journey in our Dialog and Prayer Group . Members of this Group will receive reminder e-mails for each Step of the Exercises so you will not miss the schedule.
