My Birth Story
I was born on February 15, 1999 at exactly 9:00 am. This is how it
happened: Mommy's water broke early in the morning of the 14th, Valentine's Day. She woke Daddy
and they went to the hospital, where the nurse told them that I was on my way. They had to stay
in the hospital all day long (how boring), and were waiting for Grandma to arrive. They ordered
Chinese food for dinner, yummy!
During an episode of Seinfeld, which was about 10 pm, Mommy felt
the first contractions. Daddy was asleep on the hospital's daddy chairs at this time. By 1 am on
the 15th Mommy said her contractions were becoming stronger, and she couldn't sleep because of them.
Daddy was woken up around this time, and Mommy tried taking pain relief, but by the time 6 a.m. rolled around, nothing was working for her.
Finally 8 am came and we were waiting for the doctor to come and get me out, but he was elsewhere,
and instructed the nurses to let Mommy start pushing. He finally came in at about 8:55 and at 9:00
am I arrived! I weighed exactly 8 lbs, and boy was Mommy surprised at my size, she didn't know I was so big!
Unfortunately, Grandma didn't make it on time to greet me, but she phoned minutes after my birth, as
did Nana. Gee, they must have a sixth sense about these things! Well, that's my story, I hope it
enlightened you. Ha ha ha.
