Moderator's prerogative

As this section on rejected messages clearly shows, we are quite careful about the messages that may be posted to the group.

However, it may be cause for concern among some people. They may justifiably feel that the moderator can use his power in a careless, unfair, or vindictive manner.

Of course, this could be the case...but it isn't.

You may rest assured that this discretion will be used in a benevolent manner. Decisions about approving or rejecting messages are based upon various factors:

As a result, the moderator may be aware of certain reasons for rejecting a message – and you, as a subscriber, may not realize them.

On the other hand, you may contact the moderator in order to question why your particular posting was rejected. Keep the following issues in mind:
