"But you have large groups, and I want to get the message out to as many people as I can. You can help me do it with your large groups."
That's right. I suppose I can, through these groups.
However, it's precisely because I have large groups that I also have a responsibility to the subscribers. The fact that I have met this responsibility may be the reason that the groups are so large in the first place.
I have been able to assure these subscribers that they get what they asked for and what they signed up for. They have entrusted me to shield them from an emailbox filled with things they didn't ask for - and things that they don't want.
The subscribers have the right to decide what items the group will put into their emailbox and what items will not be in their emailbox. You should not feel that you have the right to remove this privilege, no matter how important your topic may be.
