Uploading files

Our Jewish Groups prevent people from sending viruses to the subscribers. All attachments are stripped at the source, before the message is sent out.

However, there may be cases in which you want to share documents or materials with others. Is there a way around the problem of sending attachments?

Yes, there is. Just get in touch with the moderator and explain that you want to upload a file to the Files section of a particular group. After getting approval, you can send the file to the moderator, who will then handle the rest of the details for you.

You can then tell everybody on the group that its waiting for them (and describe the advantages or disadvantages of the file). They wont have to bother you, and only those who want the file will download it.

We do not guarantee that the files that are uploaded are virus-free. However, this method limits the potential damage. Only those who want to take a risk can downloading the files. The rest of the subscriber base will not have the file on their hard drive.
