Most of these forums are information groups.
Information groups do not begin discussion until a group of experts is gathered to answer queries in the given field. This may take a year or more, as was the case in our Siyyata forum. Others are then invited to join and ask questions. There is no real sense of community (except possibly among the experts).
Visitors to other discussion groups may miss the constant chatter. Information groups are not here to entertain you constantly. If there is nothing of merit to post, they may remain quiet for extended periods of time.
