We do ask subscribers to use their real names and to identify themselves when posting messages.
This is even more important in our professional groups, so that we can identify the status and affiliation of the person sending messages.
However, there are exceptions to this guideline.
Some of our sensitive or self-help groups can benefit people, but they may not want to reveal their identity.
Note that this is only the case for people requesting personal information, not for those offering information. Those offering information should always identify themselves clearly.
We have therefore set up a special confidential address, [email protected], to be used by those who want to post a specific issue without revealing their identity.
Get in touch with the moderator and ask to use the confidential email address. You will be given the password. The moderator will probably change that password from the previous time that it was used.
Get into the email system by following the following steps in this order. It looks complicated, but it's really quite easy and straightforward.
Your message has been posted to the group. You will be able to read the responses in your own email program, and not at [email protected].
Any additional postings can be made from [email protected]
Postings from [email protected] will be read by the group.
Postings to [email protected] will be read by the moderator, but you won't be able to read them.
So why am I telling you this information? Simple: I want you to be able to avail yourself of the service. Only subscribers to our groups may use this address.
If you would like to use this address to post a confidential message to any of our sensitive or self-help groups, such as Siyyata, just contact the moderator.
