Enhancements
When I enhance a picture,
I do things to it to clarify various aspects of it.

Below, you will see some
interesting enhancements of the photo containing the cross.

When I focused
to the extreme and then added
some contrast, the picture looked like this.

To get this picture,
I rescanned the detail to get a clearer image.
I  used only the contrast for this. It exaggerated the color and gave it a more dynamic appearance.
The shadow at the right looks like someone hanging on a cross.  Actually, it is a dark steel post.

This EMBOSSED version
automatically changes the color to show
light and shadow.
NOTICE that the vertical beam is IN FRONT of
the horizontal beam.
A shadow clearly shows this.
There is a dark area at the bottom of the cross.
The house behind clearly shows that nothing is holding up this beam (or whatever it is!)
