Chess Puzzle #2 Solution

The solution to this problem is:

1. Re8

 

(The Rook moved from e6 to e8.) Black now has a choice of two moves in reply:

1. ... Rf8 (blocking the Rook). White then has a choice of 3 checkmates: 2. Rxf8# or 2. gxf8=Q# or 2. gxf8=R#

1. ... Nxe8 Now White checkmates the Black King by 2. Bh7#!
