1994 Ford Flareside

This page is dedicated to one of my favorite lost loves; a 94 Flareside Mark III Conversion Pick-up.  Man was it sweet.  I bought it as you see it pictured including the Razorback, SunVisor, and bug shield.  The rims were part of the conversion package as was the leather and oak trimmed interior.

There were only 2 things I did not like about this truck.  Number 1, the SunVisor, though it looked really cool, made quite a bit of noise at speeds over 60mph and removing it, in my opion, would have taken away from the look.  I like to drive fast so that kinda sucked!  Second, the fuel-injected 5.0 that works rather well for Mustangs, just didn't have the balls necessary for the added weight and lack of aerodynamics of a pick-up.  These should have come with atleast a 5.8 Triton or something to get additional use out of it, such as towing my Cobra II to the drag strip!!!

This interior shot is kinda fuzzy, however, you can still see the oak trim and leather.  Another of my favorite features on this truck was that it had a power sliding rear window.  There was a switch in the over-head console that operated the window...I thought that was pretty cool.  I also bought it with an Alpine CD player already installed.

All in all, it was a sweet ride!  Unfortunatly, I had to sell it due to my financial situation at the time.  I can promise that the next time I'm in the market for a truck, the Ford Flareside Mark III conversion is by far #1 on my list!
