1986 Dodge Daytona
This is our '86 Dodge Daytona.
It is pretty basic. 4 cyl, 5 spd but it works well for a daily driver.
We got the car from my wife's sister. She bought it new in '86 and
my father-in-law did all of the maintainence on it. This is my wife's
daily driver in the winter when she can't drive the Firebird. The
paint is now deteriorating as you can see in the pics. I will be
repainting it next summer when we get the WS-6 back out of storage.
My plan is black with white european racing stripes and also to paint the
rims white. So far, the only thing I have done to it is add on the
rims and raised white-lettered tires. The factory rims were kind
of a honeycomb stye and didn't exactly scream performance!
Unfortunately, the car was
dirty in this picture, but it doesn't look too bad yet when it is clean.
A new stereo and tinted windows will be added before spring. It came
with the factory AM/FM stereo which I opted out for an old in-dash Alpine.
I then added in my 3-way Kenwood 6x9's.
Well, that's all I've got for
now. I will add more as time allows me to work on the car.
