It was very important to me for my child to have a name that means something. Anyone than has spent any time with me in the past 9 months has known that this was debated often between David and I because he would choose these pretty names without finding out the meaning.

Minako is japanese in origin and because there is more than one way to write it in characters is was difficult for me to find the exact meaning.

Ko as an ending always means child.

Mina, depending on the character can either mean everything beautiful, beauty or nothing.

So Minako means Child of beauty.

These pictures, although showing how beautiful our child is do not do our baby justice. She is so much more in person.

Haripriya is indian in origin. Hari is one of the names for God. Priya means gift. Therefore gift of God. I never knew how true that name was until I stared into her eyes. She is our ultumate gift.
