Assam Association of North America, AANA, is a Worldwide association formed by the people of Assam and Northeast India origin. AANA is a democratic organization. Each AANA member is entitled to a vote in the general body meeting - applies to a registered member only.

Management/Guidelines
A group of moderators manages the message board to keep it spam/abuse free, while any member may be a moderator. This message board is for the people of AANA and her well-wishers, and following guidelines are useful for all members.

Please feel free to write a note introducing you to the group members upon joining.

We strongly discourage email with attached files. Instead, use the "File Upload" feature of the message board and post the link (nowadays Yahoo server too does not keep the attached file links in the archive). So you need to create a folder on your name in the "Files" section of the message board. Then upload the file(s) and email the link to the folder of the file(s).

How to do so

• Visit the link to "Files" - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aanaonline/files
• Create a folder in this link - say folder name is "myfolder"
• Upload your files etc to "myfolder"
• Then post to aanaonline the link of the folder "myfolder", i.e., http://groups.yahoo.com/group/aanaonline/files/myfolder/

Pay attention while replying/forwarding emails to the message board, post messages that are important to the group; scroll down before you post and delete any unwanted section from the body of your email before you post.

To use this message board features, you need a "yahoo" email ID and we strongly recommend you to use a "yahoo" ID. Should you feel the number of emails you receive in your Inbox is large you may set any of the following features:
