Parent's Bulletin
A baby is born, it's all about love
Priority mail, sent from above
A package to hold and call it your own
You'll gain what's called the "Parent-like" tone.
Sometimes it's gentle and puts them to sleep
So fragile our children and dreamers to keep
Yet others be scornful for youth to abide
But parents, be mentors, and child's own guide
To watch them correct each little mistake
Enjoy their own childhood as a fool will forsake
You watch them grow from Barney to make-up
And nothing between is enough to just take up
The morals and lessons that life should've taught
Life's little mem'ries, that just can't be bought.

Scary to say, the day that you fear,
The kid that you raised has let someone near
Just try to maintain and just try to cope
Start to command and they're quick to elope
They "wanna move out and start a career"
Quotes that a parent just dreads to hear
Of course you'll be happy, but instincts, they worry
You wanted their growth but not in a hurry
Their safety and health is what you will think
Like, how will they eat and what will they drink?
Of course you will worry but that's what you're for
You wait for the day they're safe at your door.
Realize it now, children grow up
You wish back the days that your kids' just a pup
So accept and respect, don't leave at retort
What keeps them alive is your love and support.
