Rememberance Poetry
In loving memory of Kalen
Remember Me
Remember me whenever you see a sunrise
Remember me when you see a star
Remember me when you see a rainbow
Or woods in Autumn colors from afar

Remember me when you see the roses
Or seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue
Remember me whenever you see waves
Shining in the sun
And remember, I'll be remembering you

Remember me whenever you see a teardrop
Or meadows still wet with the morning's dew
Remember me whenever you feel love
Growing in your heart
And remember, I'll be remembering you
A Special Birthday
Please God, make them remember that
today, is a special birthday
Make them understand
That the memories never go away
Bless them, with ears that hear and hearts that care
Enable them to listen as I share
Shelter them, that they'll never know my pain
Help them to know, my child's life was not in vain
Help them to remember, Lord that I wish
That my child was still here
So we could still celebrate
To understand that I still feel
the nearness of my child
To see beyond my smile and the words "I'm ok"
Please God, just let one remember
today is a special birthday
In Memoriam
Grieve not for me nor mourn the while,
For happier would I be to see you smile

Let not tears fall since I have passed
but miss me and remember me each day

Live your lives, as I would want you to
And treat thy fellowman, as I would do

And when the time has come, your lives be through
I shall be waiting here for each of you
Another Year gone
I came to see you the first of the year
I said "I Love You", but you didn't hear
On Valentines' day I gave you a token
I gave you my heart, but my heart was broken
On your birthday I came, but had nothing to say
The lump in my throat just got in the way
On Easter, I brought you one little flower
I wished I could have yu for just one more hour
On Mother's Day, I think that was worst
For the hurt in my heart, almost caused it to burst
I came on the fourth, with bombs bursting in air
But I didn't hear them, I didn't care
On Halloween, I came with my sack
I wanted to hug you, but you couldn't hug back
I couldn't give thanks when thanksgiving came
Because you weren't there and it wasn't the same
I came to see you at Christmas time
I ran your bell, but your bell did not chime
For the sleeping beauty one kiss it would take
But from this sleep "my beauty" you will never wake
"Another year gone" and a new one to start
like the tear in my eye and the ache in my heart
He Only Took My Hand
Last night while I was trying to sleep,
My son's voice I did hear
I opened my eyes and looked around,
     But he did not appear.

He said: "Mom you've got to listen,
     You've got to understand
God did not take me from you, mom
     He only took my hand.

When I called out in pain that night,
     The instant that I died,
He reached down and took my hand,
And pulled me to His side.

He pulled me up and saved me,
     From the misery and pain.
My body was hurt so badly inside,
I could never be the same.

My search is really over now,
     I've found happiness within,
All the answers to my empty dreams
And all that might have been.

I love you all and miss you so,
     and I'll always be nearby.
My body's gone forever,
But my spirit will never die!

And so, you must all go on now,
live one day at a time.
Just understand-
God did not take me from you,
He only took my hand."
Remember Me
Remember me whenever you see a sunrise
Remember me when you see a star
Remember me when you see a rainbow
Or woods in autumn colors from afar.

Remember me when you see the roses
Or seagulls sailing high in a sky of blue
Remember me whenever you see waves
Shining in the sun.
And remember, I'll be remembering you.

Remember me whenever you see a tear drop
Or meadows still wet with the morning dew
Remember me whenever you feel love             Growing in your heart.
And remember, I'll be remembering you
