Michele is lives with her DH John in southern Illinois` Home of the Dawgs! They have been married for 9 years.
They have 2 children, Alexandria Nicole (Lexie) - 6 (3/6/97); JT - 2 (2/14/01), and 2 little angels in Heaven (7/99 & 2/00)
Michele works at a major IL university in the housing director's office. She's been there a little over 4 years. Before this position, she worked in Admissions & Records for the director of New Student Admissions for a little over 2 years. Michele's DH is Correctional officer at a maximum security penitentiary.
How long you have posted on IV & here: I've posted on the boards for about 5 1/2 years now. I CL two PP boards.
How you found Ivillage: I was looking for a pen pal with a child Lexie's age and found the March 1997 PP board. I got a lot more active during my pregnancy with the first baby I lost and have been on the boards almost daily since then. I post mostly from work.
Do you want more kids? That chapter of my life is over and I feel very blessed to have Lexie & JT
Hobbies: I love to read and go for walks with the kids.
Something we don't know about you:
I'm an only child and for the most part, I'm glad.
Several years ago on a whim I sent off for an admissions test packet
from Children's Literacy Institution that you see advertised on TV. I
had to write a short story and submit that with a lot of other stuff. I
heard back from an admissions counselor and was accepted to the
institution. They loved my story!
I never pursued it but I still hear from the counselor even now.
Scariest moment of your life:
Being told that there could be something fatally wrong with JT.
Happiest moment of your life: The moment I held my kids in my arms for the first time.
Name something you're very proud of: My children.
Pet peeves: Micromanagers, people who pay absolutely no attention when they are driving, and water spots on sinks.
Car you drive: 2001 Oldsmobile Silhouette van (black)
Dream car: Honestly, I'd have to say a Mercedes SUV (Mercedes M-Class) or a Lincoln Navigator
Dream job: Hum, well I'd love to be a SAHM but I would also love to be an OB nurse. I hope to someday pursue that dream when the kids are a little older.

A brag about your DH: He remembers special dates better than I do. He can really spoil me at times.
