0. Hour: pre-dawn, Sunday.
1. The [big] butte is climbed prior to the rising of the sun. If the gate is closed, return to the nearest parking spot and either take the ridgeline trail or walk back up the road. The peak ought to be gained in the hour of the sun. Regalia is donned at the summit.
2. As the sun is perceived to come over the horizon (or, upon the time given by the authorities, in the event that the sun is not physically visible) give the battery: 6
3. Salutation of the Sun: "SALUTATION & PRAISE UNTO THEE, O LIFE-ENKINDLING SUN, CHILD OF CREATION'S LORD! OH THOU LONE, ALL-SEEING EYE OF THE VAULT CELESTIAL! EXTEND THY LIGHT THAT WE MAY SEE BUT DIM THY GLORY THAT WE BE NOT BLINDED. UNMASK THY COUNTENANCE, O GOD OF LIGHT: FOR I AM A LOVER OF TRUTH AND WOULD BEHOLD THE SPIRITUAL ESSENCE CONCEALED BY THY GOLDEN DISK! 3. Whomever would begin (as determined by lot at that time) plucks up the "Wand" appropriate to Saturn and traces the hexagram, beginning with the Saturn Point. Seven lines will thus be drawn in the manner of the Ritual of the Hexagram: The first triangle (beginning and ending in Saturn in this case), the line drawn from Saturn to Moon and the triangle starting with the moon and ultimately returning there. Each line is actually drawn in place upon the vision of the ladscape in front of you where the grid is thought to lie (A clear day is going to be a bonus, here- -but probably not neccesary). As each line is drawn, a line from the following orison is uttered, such that the rythm of the orison suggests walking the line of the glyph in six steps.

The lines orison may be sensibly read in any order, and in fact will be, depending upon the point at which the orator starts. Note that the following versions each have the sun in it's center:

Each celebrant takes up the particular wand in their turn and, beginning with the point they drew by lot, utters the orison and describes the line with the wand as the others follow his/her lead. The order given above is the order intended. These wands might be of any convenient size and be appropriate unto their stations. Suggest willow (same peice used for moon-gong), oak for jove, and so forth. Nothing fancy.
4. Beginning at Saturn, envision the astral appearance of the temple and do so for all the planets in the order suggested in the following orison. Each verse might be uttered in an order determined by lot or by election.
On the Hill of Dawn and Death, thy altar is a
black tetrahedron surmounted by an hour-glass,
While at the temple of Jove, a foursquare court arises,
revealing a blue mosaic splendour!
See! Aphrodite's living temple bears seven vines
spiraling floridly from the earth unto the stars!
The moon lies placid with her creatures
gathered at the willow's waters.
Like winged thought, the healer of gods and men,
has planted his staff in the North place,
And the drums of war are heard where we gather
at the clan-sheild, promising vengeance!
ALL: Where the spheres would dance and merrily run,
May we all know our will at the heart of the Sun.
