| Gravity fed water cooling Fridge | ||||||||||||||||||||
| This is our fridge, build with copper tubbing and an insulated box. It will be frame in a pine box when it goes inside the house for aestetic purposes. But for now it is sitting outside the camper, bared naked! | ||||||||||||||||||||
| We are using the coolnest of the water from a near by creek to cool down our food.. It comes down to our camping site with an 1/2" poly pipe, which is connected to an 1/2" copper pipe that is coiled inside an insulated box. As seen in the picture here. We made that box out of door cut-out (the piece of an outside door that is cut to put the window there-top quality free stuff!). | ||||||||||||||||||||
| The copper pipe is then connected to an other poly pipe to lead the running water outside the fridge in the ditch. The fridge keeps the same temperature as the creek which is about 12 degree celcius in summer and 4 degree celcius in winter. | ||||||||||||||||||||
