10/23/03 -
Wow, the game is coming a lot even more greatly! I'm just amazed how
great it looks right now! Although, it's taking a lot longer than I
predicted. Anyhow, I planted a few loose bucks and stuff all over the
cities. The money icon looks like this:
I'm also going to make the
'job' getting 'automated'. So you people won't bug the staff for a job.
Also, don't ask to be a police officer, those are assigned to specific
people. Thanks. =) And another thing. We need more beta testers. Ten would be a decent amount to begin testing the game. Remember, the people who register to beta test and show up, get a free character registration. (Which unlocks all the games features.) I also plan to put a few secrets in the game here and there. Let's see if you can't unlock some. Hint: Most of the secrets will consist of things from my other games, some you have heard of, and some you have not. 7/31/03 - Justin and I got a lot done today. He finished almost have of the drink icons, and I finished almost half of the food icons. We're going to stop there for a while. I happen to be, at this very moment, working on the programming, and mapping. Which means, that It's A Living's progress will move up substantially. The game's official release has yet to be issued though. We're still guessing around mid-august, or late-august somewhat. The game should be playable for the beta testers by next Thursday. 7/30/03 - Well, the Vehicles are basically done with, and thanks to my friend Justin, a lot of the weapons are done with as well. They need better color detail though, which I am going to fix. The game is going smoothly, and the graphics are pretty great. Probably the best of done so far. I have to admit though, the turfs are going to be tough when I get to them. Yesterday, someone was hosting It's A Living 5. It felt really weird playing with it... mainly because the game is nothing compared to It's A Living Online. I also did a bit of the battle system earlier, just to see how would turn out. I made the Mini Game's separate from the programming, so everyone will know how I'm doing with them. I managed to get more of the programming done, such as the variables, and the statistic menu. It wasn't that hard, I also decided to use the sprites from the other IAL game. (IALV) And make them better. (Using the Trunks Palace Online style. [Another game of mine]) Again, the game is going very smoothly. I'm putting a lot of effort into it. You do not see many game creatures on BYOND that don't release their game as soon as possible. I'm taking my time. To make the game; bug free, fun, and great quality. I'd also like to say that the game may not be completed in mid August, it could be completed as late as late August or earlier September. It may seem less than that right now, but when I get all the turfs and stuff done, I'll slow down when I begin construction on the cities, mainly because I am going to put a lot of effort into them, not only that, there are SEVEN cities, and they are quite large, except for the Town. (Rogue Town; which is a small area, and a good place to go if you want to get away from everyone else and just chill.)

(Earlier That Day) -
The blank page. The most difficult place to start. I am starting from
scratch, I thought about using some of the turfs and icons from the other
It's A Living games, but I decided I'd just use new turfs. I might use the
old mobile sprites though, and create new hair styles. Either that or I'll
do something new. I have been wanting to create new sprites from scratch.
It's not that hard. You see the first sprites I ever created were the
one's from It's A Living II, which were used for every game I ever made,
but I'm pretty sure I'll create some new sprites. I want everything to be
new on It's A Living Online, stuff that people have never seen me make
before. I do not want to use sprites, turfs and objects created from my
other games. |
