Uganda Association of Occupational Therapy

The Uganda Association of Occupational Therapists (UAOT) was established in the 1980s but it wasnt until 1996 that they started to hold regular meetings.  It was in that same year that they became a member of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT).

The Association aims:

to bring together occupational therapists in the country

to strengthen the delivery of occupational therapy services

 promote and develop the profession

reduce the rate and impact of disability and deformities

to form links with other training schools and associations around the world

to facilitate foreign students and volunteers to carry out placements in Uganda

UAOT is a member of the Occupational Therapy Regional Group (OTARG).
