* Exported from MasterCook * Classic Fudge Brownies Recipe By :Elizabeth Baird Serving Size : 16 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : new recipe Regular Sweet Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1/2 cup butter 3 oz unsweetened chocolate -- coarsely chopped 1 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp vanilla 2 eggs -- beaten 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup chopped walnuts -- or pecans 1. In heavy saucepan, heat butter with chocolate over low heat until almost melted, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat; stir until completely melted. Stir in sugar, vanilla and eggs, blending well. Stir in flour and walnuts just until combined. 2. Spread in greased 8-inch (2 L) square cake pan, smoothing top. Bake in 350°F (180'C) oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool on rack; cut into squares. Makes 16 brownies.
