Group Name: Afternoon Circle of Otterbein United Methodist Women For Whom: Any woman who indicates her desire to belong and to participate in the global mission of the Church through the United Methodist Women Day/Time of Meetings: 3rd Tuesday of Month 1:30pm (Exceptions are January and February) Where are Meetings held: Onward Classroom of Otterbein United Methodist Church Purpose: To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative and supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the Church |
Group Name: Connellsville Otterbein United Methodist Women For Whom: All women who attend Otterbein Church are welcome For Day/Time of Meetings, Where they are held, and Purpose, see above entry Brief History: Since 1908, there has been a Women's Missionary Society in the Church. In 1968, the Evangelical United Brethern and the Methodist Church became the United Methodist and in 1970 adopted the name Otterbein united Methodist Church, honoring Philip Willian Otterbein, a founder of the United Brethern Church. In 1974, the Central Methodist joined our congregation and since then our present Otterbein United Methodist Women's group has existed and is active in missionary work. |
