About Me
Welcome to my webpage, I'm Jennifer Van Otterloo. Originally from
age of 4 with my grandmother, Lois Gruis. I participated in the
Junior Level of the National Federation of Music Clubs competitions
for 10 years and received a National Merit at the age of 7. I have
won various awards throughout high school and college including
the John Phillip Sousa Band Award, 4 years of music letters, an
honorable mention in the Sammons Competition in piano as a college
freshman, and 2nd place in the same competition as both a sophomore
and junior. I have also had many experiences playing with different
ensembles including jazz bands, various chamber ensembles, and the
Siouxland Youth Symphony. I am currently a senior at
College majoring in piano performance where I study with Drs. Kathryn
and James March. I have dreamt of becoming a concert pianist from a
very young age and hope to some day make this dream a reality,
although I have not ruled out teaching or playing in a chamber ensemble.
