Review Date: December 2005
Note: The building occupied by Caribbean Flavour burned down in March. The restaurant will be reopening at a new location at 1659 Carling Ave.

881 Somerset St. West
Type: Caribbean
Atmosphere: Some people call it cozy - I call it small. The walls are decorated
with pictures from the Caribbean, and they play reggae music in the background.
Service: The servers and the chef (who comes out to talk to the customers when
time permits) are friendly, but incredibly slow. The food is made fresh to
order, so make sure you have 2 hours for dinner if you're eating here.
Food: As awful as the service is, the food will keep me coming back. The food is
prepared fresh and you are given the choice of having it made mild, medium or
hot (note: if you order hot, it is quite likely to be the hottest thing you'll
ever eat in your life). Make sure to save room for the banana rum flambé.
Price: Cheap, the rotis are $8 - $9 and very filling.
Worth a return visit?: Absolutely. This is becoming one of my favourite
restaurants.
