| THE ARMORIAL BEARINGS OF THE FOUNDERS OF THE HERALDRY SOCIETY OF CANADA |
| The first General and Inaugural meeting of the 'Society' was held on Tuesday, 25 October 1966 at the Beacon Arms Hotel, 88 Albert Street, Ottawa at 10.00 o'clock in the morning. At that time it was agreed that officers of the Society would be nominated and elected. In the meantime work would be carried out by a 'Provisional Founding Committee'. That founding committee was as follows: Honorary President: The Rt. Hon. Vincent Massey, PC,CC,CH President: Alan Brookman Beddoe OC, OBE Vice-Presidents: *1) Phillips MacKay Till, CA, HFHSC 2) The Hon. Mr. Justice A. Alex. Cattanach BA, LLB Treasurer: *George M. Beley HFHSC Secretary: Norman A. Nunn * later Presidents of the Society. |
