Chapter 1
Alyssa sat next to Lou Pearlman as she watched a guy named Jacob Underwood sing with all his might.

"He's really good...he could sing...and he's cute too," Alyssa said observantly.

"You know, I think you're right," answered Lou.

They were watching hundreds of guys audition for the new band Lou thought of, which would be named "O-Town". They were even going to have their own show called "Making the Band". This audition they were going to pick eight
guys, and by the end of the season, the five guys who got picked would officially be called O-Town. Everyone from the Trans Con. family was there, even Richelle, who was just one of the chaperones for the guys. She was very surprised but happy when Lou gave her the job as a chaperone, considering that she was only 19.

After watching the guys sing, Alyssa had already picked the five guys she wanted to make the band: Jacob, Ikaika, Ashley, Jackie, and Paul....and maybe Junior. Next was the dancing part. Alyssa always loved seeing people sing and
dance onstage, so she was having a blast watching them, unlike the other people from Trans Con. who looked very bored watching.

During the dance auditions, there was this one guy who caught Alyssa's eyes. His moves were really smooth and simple. Without taking her eyes away from the dancer, she asked Lou: "Who's that guy?"

"He's amazing isn't he? His name is Trevor Penick," Lou answered.

"Wow," was all Alyssa could say.

At the final audition, Alyssa was devastated when Jackie broke down as he was singing to LFO's "Girl On TV." He explained later that he doesn't take pressure that well. A few minutes later, it was time to announce the eight
guys who would make the cut.

"Well, here are the guys I'll be chaperoning for a long, long time..."Alyssa said to herself as she watched Lou go onstage and got ready to announce the eight guys.

In front of the long table she was sitting at, she saw all the guys hugging and holding hands.
"I decided on the eight guys, but I want you guys to know that I love all of you, and I would've picked all of you...but unfortunately, I could only pick eight."

Lou looked at all the guys quickly before continuing.

"It will be harder when I have to pick the final five guys, but, I'll stop talking now and call the eight guys to come up here. The first guy: Erik-Michael Estrada."

Alyssa examined the boy as he walked towards the stage. He was young and cute...really cute.

"The second guy: Jacob Underwood."

Alyssa smiled as she saw a bunch of boys hug Jacob. She's got to admit, she knew Jacob would make the eight, and she was confident that he'll make the five.

"The third guy: Ashley Parker Angel." 

A boy that resembled a young Lance Bass stepped onstage.

"The fourth guy: Ikaika Kohuana."

Alyssa had heard about him. She heard that he's from Hawaii and he cares a lot for his girlfriend and family.

"The fifth guy: Paul Martin."

"Yes!" Alyssa said outloud. She really liked how Paul sang, although it scared her that he looked like Ricky Martin. 'They even have the same last name' Alyssa thought. She shuddered at the thought.

"The sixth guy: Mike Miller."

She saw everybody congradulate Mike.

"The seventh guy: Bryan Chan."

Alyssa remembered him. When he performed "I Swear" by All 4 One, it was absolutely breathtaking.

"The eighth and final guy: Trevor Penick."

Alyssa froze. She was so shocked that Trevor had made it, although she had a feeling he would. She smiled.

"So these are the boys I'll be chaperoning," Alyssa thought.

Lou summoned her onstage to meet the guys. As Alyssa was walking towards the stage, she saw almost all the guys who didn't make it with tears in their eyes as they were getting ready to leave. Alyssa felt so sorry for them...especially for Jackie. She really wanted him to make it.

"Boys, this girl here is Alyssa, and she is going to be your chaperone.

She must go everywhere with you, because there are a lot of crazy fans out there--" Lou was interrupted by an excited voice.

"FANS?!?! What fans?" It was Erik who cried out.

"There will be cameras all the time around you guys taping. You guys heard about the show you guys are in, Making the Band, right?" Lou asked.

Alyssa saw all eight heads nod.

"Well, there are going to be hundreds of people watching you..and some girls will turn into fans. So, Alyssa and a security person will be with you all the time when you go out..but for now, since the show didn't start airing yet, Alyssa will be the only one with you guys," Lou explained.

"How old is she?" Ashley asked.

"I'm 19," Alyssa replied.

"Alyssa is very young, but very responsible. That's why I picked her," Lou said. "If it's easier, then she may move in with you guys."

Alyssa got ready and started brushing her long brown hair that was up to her knees. She was going to move in today. She looked at all her boxes.

"How the hell am I supposed to fit all of these in my car?" Alyssa asked outloud.

A knock at the door answered her question. Alyssa was very surprised to see Jacob standing there.

"I've come to help you load all your things in your car..you could also put some boxes in my car if you want."

"Thank you soo much Jacob," Alyssa said in reply.

Jacob and Alyssa start loading all her boxes into the two cars. When they were done, Jacob looked over excitedly to Alyssa.

"You should see the house...it is sooo big!" Jacob exclaimed.

"I can't wait...Goodbye crappy apartment!" Alyssa cried out as she and Jacob drove away.

A few minutes later, they arrived at the house and Alyssa couldn't believe what she saw.

Chapter 2
The house was really, really beautiful. There were at least 3 bedrooms, a big living room, a jacuzzi, a swimming pool, a nice kitchen, and 2 and a half bathrooms. As soon as Alyssa entered the door, everyone went up to her and greeted her. First it was Ashley, then Paul, then Bryan, Mike, Ikaika, Erik, and the last one was Trevor.

"Hi, my name is Trevor."

"Nice to meet you....I'm Alyssa."

"How old are you again?"

"I'm 19...turning 20 in 2 months."

"I'm 19, too."

"Hey guys..let's pick rooms now!" Jacob called out.

"Erik, Paul and I already decided we wanted to share a room with eachother," Ashley explained.

"And Ikaika, me and Bryan already picked our room," Mike added.

The six guys went to their rooms to pick bunks/beds. That left Jacob, Alyssa, and Trevor.

"I guess it's us three, then," Jacob announced.

"I guess so..,"Alyssa mumbled under her breath. She was cool with that because Jacob and Trevor were the only ones she actually had a conversation with. The three of them got their stuff and started unpacking.

About an hour later, everyone was done.

"So are you guys planning to go anywhere today?" Alyssa asked.

"Actually, we were planning to watch a movie...it's called 'Center Stage'," Erik said.

"Yeah...and the movie starts in 35 minutes, so if we are going to watch it, then we should leave now," Paul explained.

"Well, what are you guys waiting for? Get your butts in the car!" Alyssa exclaimed.

Nobody could say no to that. Every single one of them ran outside into the pparked can. Alyssa laughed as she grabbed her bag and followed them out.

Mike was driving, Bryan was in the front with him, Jacob, Trevor and Paul were in the middle row, while Erik, Alyssa and Ashley were in the back. "So when's your first day at the studio?" Alyssa asked.

"Tomorrow....I can't wait!" Ashley said excitedly. Alyssa looked over at him and it was hard not to notice the twinkle in his eyes. That boy was really into music, and Lou would be stupid not to pick him for one of the five. Ashley was a really talented young boy.

By the time they got to the movie theater, Alyssa knew each and everyone of them really well. They all took their money out of their pockets and got in line for their tickets.

Alyssa never knew that the eight guys could eat so much. They must've bought everything at the concession stand. She looked at the people around her. Alyssa sat at the end closest to the wall. Then it was Erik, Trevor, the Jacob, Ashley, Mike, Bryan, Paul, then Ikaika. All of a sudden, the lights went dim and the movie started.

"That movie was okay..."Paul said.

"Okay?!? It was amazing...that guy who played Charlie is a hottie!" Alyssa exclaimed.

"It was another one of those chick flicks,"Trevor butted in.

"Can we go in the car now? It's cold and I didn't bring a jacket,"Erik asked.

"Sure....come on everyone,"Bryan ordered.

As soon as all 9 of them finished piling in the van, Mike drove off.

Right when the door opened, Erik, Paul, and Bryan ran to their rooms and fell asleep. Mike and Jacob opened the refrigerator to look for something to eat.

"You guys are still hungry?" Alyssa asked in disbelief.

"Yup!" they answered her without looking up.

Alyssa turned to Trevor who was standing beside her.

"Where's Ashley?"

"He's on the phone talking to his girlfriend...Shelli," Trevor explained.

"Oh....so what are you gonna do?"

"I was just thinking that I'd sit on the couch and watch TV....would you like to join me?" Trevor answered.

Alyssa smiled at him before answering. "Why certainly!"

Ashley's phone conversation with Shelli had been going good so far.

'Finally...no arguments!' he thought happily.

"So what's everyone doing over there?" Shelli asked.

"Erik, Paul and Bryan are sleeping, Jacob and Mike are eating, and Trevor and Alyssa are watching TV," Ashley replied.

"Oh....Alyssa?...Is she Trevor's girlfriend?" Shelli asked.

"No!..She's our chaperone. She is soo cool! Oh...and she has the longest hair ever..and she's not old like all those other chaperone ladies...she's only 19."

"Oh...cool," Shelli replied trying really hard to hide her worried tone.

Shelli is always afraid that Ashley might fall for another girl than her.

"Yeah...she just moved in this morning," Ashley explained. "Well, I gotta go. I'll call you tomorrow, okay? Love ya!"

"Bye Ashley," Shelli replied.

"Hey guys...I'm going to sleep now...goodnight!" Ashley announced.

"Night," Alyssa, Trevor, Jacob and Mike answered. They were watching "PowerPuff Girls" on cartoon network.

"You know what...I think the rest of you guys should go to bed, too, since you have to go to the studio tomorrow morning...you don't wanna be late, now do you?" Alyssa asked.

"Just 30 more minutes...please?" Jacob asked with a puppy dog face.

"Don't say I didn't warn you," Alyssa said giving in. Once she saw Jacob give her that face, she couldn't say no. It looked so...cute. "I'm going to bed now, you three guys don't be noisy!"

As soon as they heard the door close, Jacob started talking.

"So what do you guys think of her?"

"She's really nice," said Mike.

"Yeah..she's also very pretty," put in Jacob.

"She's cool," Trevor said.

After two more hours of watching TV and talking, the three guys finally fell asleep on the couches.

-;-the next morning-;-

Alyssa woke up in the room alone. "They must all be getting ready. Besides, it's already 9:30 and they have to be at the studio at 10:00," Alyssa thought to herself as she got herself ready. By 9:40 she was all ready and she headed downstairs to greet the guys a good morning.

"Hey guys..are you ready t---" Alyssa stopped talking as soon as she saw Jacob, Mike and Trevor sleeping peacefully on the couches. "Oh my gosh...."

Alyssa quickly ran down the stairs and shook the three guys awake. Mike was the first to wake up.

"What is it?" he asked sleepily.

"You guys will be late if you don't wake up now!" Alyssa exclaimed.

"WHAT??? What time is it?"

"9:45...15 minutes...get ready NOW..I'll wake all the others," said Alyssa.

As soon as she saw Mike run in the bathroom, she started waking Jacob and Trevor up. By 9:52, everyone was awake and getting ready....everyone except Erik.

"Come on Erik...wake up..."Alyssa said while shaking him with all her might. She looked at his nightstand and noticed a glass of water. She reached in his cup and took an icecube from it. Without thinking twice, she shoved the icecube in his shirt. As soon as she did that, he let out a piercing scream. Alyssa stood there laughing at him.

"Why did you do that?" Erik asked.

"You'll be late for the studio if I didn't.." Alyssa looked at her watch.

"Oh my goshy gosh...it's 10:01..you better hurry your butt off!" Alyssa exclaimed.

She left the room so Erik can get dressed.

"These guys are gonna get their asses kicked..."Alyssa mutted under her breath. She sighed. "You guys go in the car now and go ahead. I'll take Erik in my own car," Alyssa said.

The seven guys were out of the house in no time.

"Erik?! Are you ready??" Alyssa cried out.

"Hold on...I'm almost done," was his reply.

About 5 minutes later, he went downstairs. Alyssa looked at him.

'Wow...he's really cute,' Alyssa thought.

"Now I'm ready...where are the others?" Erik asked as he looked around.

"They went ahead to the studie because you guys wer already late as it was..so I volunteered to drive you down," Alyssa explained.
"Oh..."Erik said. "I hope I don't get into TOO much trouble."

"Don't worry...if he yells at you, I'll kick his ass," Alyssa said as the two of them walked out the door and into Alyssa's car.

"You're 20....right?" Alyssa asked.

"Yeah....I just turned 20, like, three weeks ago," Erik replied.

"Cool..."Alyssa said.

Alyssa looked over at Erik. He had a blue cap on backwards and he was leaning his head against the window and he looked like he was deep in thought.

'I better not disturb him,' Alyssa thought to herself.

There was something about Erik. Alyssa thought he seemed a bit shyer that the other guys.

Alyssa and Erik got to the studio at around 10:20.

-;- in the studio -;-

Alyssa sat outside in front of Lou Pearlman's office. Even though she couldn't hear anything, she could tell the boys were being lectured by the look on Erik's face. He looked over at her and made a bored face. Alyssa smiled at him and laughed.

"I swear...that boy acts like a little kid sometimes," Alyssa said to herself.

A few minutes later, the guys, Lou, and two other guys walked out of the room and started walking towards another room. Lou stopped walking and turned to face Alyssa.

"Come on in Alyssa....the boys want you to watch them."

Alyssa got up from where she had been sitting and walked into the room.

Inside the room, there was a long table. Alyssa sat down next to Ashley.

Sitting in front of her was Erik.

Lou handed out a piece of paper to the 8 guys.

"What's this for?" Ashley asked.

"It's the lyrics to your first single, 'All For Love'," explained Lou.

The guy with a red fisherman's hat spoke up while getting a tape out of his pocket.

"This tape has the music to All For Love..," he explained.

The boys and Alyssa listened to the man sing the song for them. The song had an upbeat sound to it, and it was good. After the song was done, he continued speaking. "You'll have to remember the lrics by tomorrow and you have to be able to sing it with the music. Tomorrow when you get here, you're going to be working with the choreographer and you'll learn the dance moves."

"And also...try to be on time," the other guy put in.

"You're dismissed..and don't forget the tape," Lou said handing the tape over to Trevor.

"What?!? That's it?" Jacob exclaimed.

"You don't work the first day, Jacob, you just get the papers you need," Lou explained.

"Oh...," you could hear a little disappointment in Jacob's voice when he said that.

In fact, when Alyssa looked at all the guys, they each looked a bit disappointed. 'There's no reason on why they shouldn't be, I mean, they've been waiting for this day since they got here,' Alyssa thought.

The nine of them got into their cars (Alyssa and Erik rode in her car) and met back at the house.

"Dang....I thought we were gonna start today!" complained Erik.

"Don't worry..you guys are gonna start tomorrow.."

"Do you mind if I put this on?" Erik asked as he pulled out his copy of All For Love.

"Go ahead..." Alyssa answered.

Erik got out the lyrics and started sing softly. Alyssa was fascinated by his voice. He sang so good. After the song was over, Alyssa looked over at Erik and complimented him.

"You sing really good, you know that?"

"Thanks," Erik said as he started blushing.

Before they could say something else to eachother, they reached the house.

The guys had been practicing their singing for about 2 hours. Alyssa was relaxing on the couch as she watched TV.
"Finally..some time to myself," Alyssa said outloud.

Her "alone time" didn't last long. A few minutes later, she heard a loud thud come from upstairs. Thinking that one of the guys dropped something, she ignored it...until Bryan ran downstairs. Bryan was followed by 6 others.

"What is it?" Alyssa asked.

"Erik said he had a huge headache, but he kept fooling around with us..then the next thing we saw was Erik fainting," Trevor explained.

A wave of panic washed over Alyssa. "Oh my lordy...umm..I'll take care of Erik..if I need help with anything..I'll let you guys know," Alyssa ordered.
