Turning Circles
Chapters 16-20

"Move your body in a flowing motion," she said.

"Everything is gentle. You're such a guy," she laughed as she watched him try to turn in a circle, but fail miserably.

"Don't jerk your feet or legs, baby," she whispered into his ear as they skated across the rink.

"I'm still no good at this Maddy," Dan sighed with a huge smile on his face as she supported him by holding his hand in front of him as she skated backwards.

"Yes you are!" She stated looking into his warm eyes.

"You don't have to lie to make me feel better," he replied happily.

    "Never," she giggled back.

"Madison," he called as she returned to his side as they completed another lap around the enormous rink.

    "Yes?"

"When are you going to leave me?" Dan asked, finally gathering the courage he needed to ask the question.

He had been thinking so much lately, and he was terrified to face the reality of the situation.

Madison had been in Orlando with him for three days. She had been staying at their house, and he had been having the time of his life with her. His heart, for once in the past four years, felt completed.

He knew that her grandparents were getting anxious to see her again, and his time with her was growing short.

Things had been slowly improving since the day she arrived. They talked constantly, and Dan had taken her out to an amazing dinner the previous night. She spent a lot of time getting to know the other guys, and Dan loved how well she bonded with them. They loved her immediately, just like he did when he had first met her.

Dan would do anything to keep her with him. Even three hours away was too far. He wasn't willing to stop this relationship from improving, as it was, with each minute that passed.

There hadn't been anything significantly impacting that had occurred, but Madison had allowed him to kiss her in the studio and at the end of their "date" the other night. He was encouraged by it. He knew that she was slowly opening her heart to him again. He swore that he would value it as the most precious thing in his life.

"Well...I think tomorrow probably. I've got to get back to my grandma and grandpa, eventually. And, besides, I'm beginning to wear out my welcome at the O-Town pad," she stated answering his question with a laugh.

"No you aren't!" Dan protested. He knew for a fact that the guys loved having her around. They would be crushed when she left.

"Dan, this morning, Jacob yelled at me for leaving my bra in the bathroom, and Trevor threw a fit when he stepped on my eye lash curler in the den," she stated.

Dan was laughing as he listened to her.

"I think your bra being up in the bathroom is sexy," Dan said as they decided to stop skating.

"Yeah, well five guys, and one girl is not realistic," she said seriously as the exited the arena and walked to Dan's car.

"I just don't want you to go," Dan whispered, in a serious tone, as she waited for him to unlock her door to the car. He stood behind her with his arms around her.

She closed her eyes when she felt his arms slip around her and embrace her. She knew that this conversation would come up soon enough. She didn't know what to say.

Madison turned in his arms and looked into his eyes. She saw the sadness there, and wished that she could make it disappear.

She had to admit that the past three days with him had been nothing short of amazing. He had shown her, repeatedly, that he was sorry, and he had proven his honesty.

She knew that it would be just as painful for her to leave him, but there was no other solution. He was busy with the CD, rehearsals, and work. She needed to get back to her own home.

She had never intended to stay for as long as she had, and she was scared of what this was becoming. She was living off of him, and it wasn't right. They never spoke of a committed relationship, and frankly, Madison was confused as to what was going on.

It had only been three days.

"What can we do about it?" She asked seriously after taking a deep breath.

"We both have lives," she re-iterated her logical point.

The sun cascaded over his face, and Madison watched as he tried to decide what he wanted to answer her with.

She saw him take a deep breath, as though he was trying to sum up the courage to say something.

"We can buy you an apartment nearby, and you can live here," Dan whispered before leaning forward and pressing a soft kiss to her speechless lips.

"Well?" He asked looking into her wide and shocked eyes.

    "Dan," she sighed shakily.

Dan stood still, his heart pounding, waiting for her response.

Would she finally forgive him and promise him another chance?

This would be a big step, and he was praying that she would say yes.

A few tears fell from Madison's brown eyes, and Dan wasn't sure whether to take it as a good or bad sign. A few seconds passed before she straightened up and smiled before jumping up into his arms and kissing him.

"Does this mean yes, baby? Because, you're killing me here," Dan rasped as he kissed her once again.

"Yes!" She cried into his ear.

"I need you so much Maddy," he whispered as she got down and hugged him.

"I'm so thankful that I didn't lose you forever," he stated as he held her in the cool breeze.

"I could never stay mad at you Dan. That was one thing that always pissed me off," Madison said quietly as she buried her face in the crook of his neck.

"When we were still dating, you would do something that was wrong, and I could not be mad at you. In infuriated me. I thought it was because I wasn't in control of my emotions, and I was weak," Madison whispered.

"Come to find out, it was because I was in love," she completed looking up into his fiery eyes.

Dan smiled down at her and felt his heart beat strongly and wildly.

He loved this woman with everything that he was, and he intended to show her for the rest of their lives.
