Chapter 1 "So Ashley when do we get to meet her?" Dan asked. "Yah...when? And tell us more about her!" Erik squealed excitedly. "Ok,Ok, her plane gets here in about an hour. She is my best friend in the whole world. Her name is Kristi Cunnings, she's a brunette with long silky hair, sky blue eyes, perfec-tly straight white teeth, a body with curves in all the right places, she's really smart, usually happy and perky unless someone really pisses her off. She doesn't hold grud-ges, doesn't drink or smoke, loves to have fun, she's a hopeless romantic and exactly a month older than me." Ashley finished while looking at a devilish Trevor. "She's got a nice ass right?" Trevor asked while smiling sheepishly. "Yes. Kristi does have a nice ass!" Ashley answered as he rolled his eyes. " But if any of you hit on her I'll hurt you!" "Ooh" Jacob cooed " You got some dib on her?" "No I just...well you are all older than her and..." Dan cut him off "You two are the same age!" "Ugh!!! Guys just don't hit on her! Ashley yelled as he went to go look for the keys to the van. Ashley found them in the microwave next to a bag of cold chinese food. * * * * * * * * * * Hmm where is she? Ashley thought. Then Ashley felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and there was Kristi. "Hi As-hley!" Kristi smiled. Ashley hugged her and then swung her around in circles in the air. "Ashley!!!!!! Baby!!!! Please put me down!" When Ashley put her down he asked, "Kristi how have you been girl?" " Oh, I'm great Ashley. And how have you been Mr. Heartthrob of teenage girls?" "Oh, Kristi stop!" He said as he tickeled her. "It's true Ashley Angel. Im mean your...your.. hot!!! Boy.............have I missed you!" Before Kristi could say anything else Ashley put his arms around her waist and hugged her tightly. He whispered in her ear, " If I had known I'd miss my best friend as much as I do then I wouldn't have auditioned for Making The Band." "Don't say that Ashley. This is your dream." Kristi responded as she pulled away from his grasp. "It's true Kristi...no matter you may think." * * * * * * * * * * In the van... "Kristi from what I've told them they like you. But i told them you had a nice ass so if any of them pinch it just tell me." "Okay" Kristi laughed. As Ashley drove up the driveway of his house Kristi gasped. "You live here?!" "Yah it's pretty cool" Ashley said as he got out of the car and opened Kristi's door for her. The both went to the back of the van to get Kristi's bags. Ashley took two and Kristi one. Ashley and Kristi walked towards the front door and Ashley unlocked it. "Guys.... We're here!" Ashley's voice echoed throught the house. Ashley lead Kristi into the livingroom. "Kristi these are the guys." "Hi I'm Erik-Micheal Estrada currently single." Erik said as he shook Kristi's hand. "Hey Kristi, I'm Trevor. Single as well and very charming." Trevor added as he hugged her. "I'm Jacob" Jacob said as he kissed her hand. "Hi Kristi. I'm the cute all-around american boy, Dan." "Well hello Erik, Jacob, Trevor, Dan. Nice to meet you." Kristi smiled and replied sweetly. "Kristi come and follow me upstairs. You're staying in my room with me" Ashley said as he started upstairs. "Okay Ashley." After Ashley and Kristi got all her stuff into Ashley's extra closet space and dressers they joined everyone else in the livingroom. "So were you and Ashley ever more than just friends?" Erik asked Kristi. "Oh yah" "So when?????" Dan asked. "Ok we met in third grade and were best friends for third and fourth grade. Fifth grade Ashley liked me, sixth grade I liked Ashley, seventh grade we were best friends again. Eighth grade we were working on a play together and one day after rehearsal we were hanging out and I gave him his first kiss. The rest of the eighth grade year we were a couple. Highshcool we were just friends." "And is there anything embarassing about Ashley you want to tell us?" Jacob asked eagerly awaiting some dirt. "Well Ashley wore Superman underwear 'till he was ten, and then one day he jumped off my roof because he thought he could fly like Superman, and then one time he got a cinnamon tic-tac stuck up his nose." By then Ashley's face was comepletely red. When Kristin saw it she thought of the first excuse to leave Ashley alone. " If y'all don't mind I think I'm gonna go to bed." " Go ahead Kristi, I'll be up in a while." Once Kristi was up-stairs the guys started talking. "Man Ashley keep that one!" Jacob howled. "I can't believe you went out with Shelli over her!" Trevor added. "What kind of twisted mind would chose petite bitchy Shelli over Kristi Cunnings? The hot beautiful best friend who knows everything about you!" Chapter 2 The next morning Kristi woke up at seven. She decided she wanted to do something nice for the guys so she went downstairs to make breakfast. About an hour later Dan and Ashley came downstairs in their boxers. Ashley never looked to good in the mor-ning Kristi thought. "Hi guys" Kristi said very perky-like. Ashley walked behind her and put his arms around her waist and his head on her shoulder. "What's cookin'?" Dan asked. "Pancakes, bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, orange juice, strawberries, grapefruit, and for the pancakes: syrup, whipped cream, peanut butter, butter, and powdered su-gar." "Oh Kristi that sounds so great girl, thanks for making this for us. I'll go round up the rest of the guys." Ashley said while smiling at Kristi. * * * * * * * * * * During breakfast... "Wow, Kristi these eggs are even better than Dan's!" Trevor said. "Hey!!!!" Dan said through a mouthful of pancakes. "Yah Kristi you shouldn't spoil us like this or else we'll replace Ashley with you!" Jacob added. Kristi laughed as Ashley said,"Ha ha ha...very funny guys!" "So Kristi what did you and Ashley used to do together?" "Well we used to do alot of dancing. We have like 15 awards each for that. We also sang and" "Oh-Mi-God! You sing?!" Erik choked. "Yah me and Ashley used to sing all the time the best one we did was My Heart Will Go On from Titanic." "Kristi let's show them how good we are together!" "No way Ashley!" "Come on please......" Erik and Jacob wailed. "Okay Okay I'll do it." Everyone quickly got up from the table and ran Kristi out to the studio. Ashley sat down by the keyboard, Kristi stood, Erik, Jacob, Trevor, and Dan sat on the couch. Ashley started to play and Kristi sang. "Was I that good?" "You're definetly replacing Ashley!" Jacob said confidently. Kristi turned to Ashley and asked, "Ashley, what did you think?" But Ashley wasn't listening he was talking to himself in his mind. Man you can't want her! She's your best friend. She doesn't think of you that way! But...she would make a great girlfriend. She's way nicer and more considerate than Shelli. I mean Shelli has never made me breakfast and she can't sing. She talks like she just sucked the helium out of a balloon. "Umm....Ashley?? Are you in there..........?" "Oh yah Kristi you were so awesome girl!" Ashley answered after he snapped out of his thoughts. As Kristi started to walk out of the studio Erik, Jacob, Dan and Trevor started to follow. But Ashley grabbed on to Dan and Trevor's arms. "Guys I need to tell you something." Ashley said. "Oh gee lemme guess. You wanna be" Trevor started. "More than Kristi's friend?" Dan finished. "How'd you two know?" "We're physic" Dan and Trevor said in unison. "What happened to make you know you wanted to be more than her friend?" Trevor asked. "Well......" Flashback The night Kristi arrived Ashley couldn't sleep so he went outside to look at the moon. He sat on one of the lawn chairs by the pool. Then Ashley heard a person say his name. "Ashley?" the voice said. "Yah Kristi?" he answered. "How'd you know it was me?" she asked. "You answered a question with a question and your sweet innocent voice." "Oh. Well...Ashley what are you doing out here?" "I couldn't sleep." Ashley replied as he watched the moonlight bounce off of Kristi's perfect eyes. He couldn't fight the temptation any longer, so he leaned in and kissed her. It wasn't a very long kiss but still sweet and meaningful. As soon as Ashley pulled away he said," Oh my! I shouldn't have" Kristi put her finger on Ashley's lips. "Don't say it" End of Flashback "I couldn't fight the moonlight I guess." "Ask her out on a date." Dan said "Yah we'll send her in" Trevor finished. * * * * * * * * * * Kristi hopped in as bright and perky as she ever was. "T and D said you wanna ask me sumtin" "Yah umm...well...ummm...would you like to go out with me? As more than friends?" "Ashley is this about the kiss?" "Damn Kristi! I kissed because I wanna be more than just your friend!!" Ashley yelled. "Please please don't yell at me Ashley. Can you give me some time to think about the way I feel for you?" Kristi said throught sobs. This was the first time Ashley ever yelled at her. "Fine!" Ashley hollered as he stormed out of the studio. Chapter 3 Kristi started to run after Ashley but stopped when she saw Dan and Trevor playing basketball. She ran over to them and fell into Dan's arms. "Wanna talk about it?" Trevor asked. Kristi nodded and they all sat indian-style on the pavement. "He asked me out on a date and..." "Oh boy...What did you say to him?" Dan urged. "I asked if I could think about it and that's when he ran out to the house." "Kristi what are you going to tell him?" "Well you guys...I can't go out on a date with him. But I do feel the same way as he does. I just don't want to kill our friendship. Especially with the long distance thing." "Then go and tell Ashley that." Trevor said. Kristi got up and wiped her tearfilled eyes with her hands. Dan and Trevor followed her into the house. Kristi found Ashley, Jacob, and Erik in the kitchen. "Do you want us to leave?" Jacob asked. Kristi nodded no and looked at Ashley. "Ashley...I feel the same way you do...but...I don't want to kill our friendship with being in a relationship with you...so my answer is no." Kristi finished, and looked at Ashley not knowing how he'd react. Ashley looked at her straight in the eyes and a tear ran down his cheek. He then ran upstairs to his room. Kristi chased after him and tried to open the door but it was locked. "As-hley...Baby...Please open the door. We need to talk. Ashley...please I'm begging you!" Then up the stairs came Dan, Trevor, Erik, and Jacob. Erik shooed Kristi out of the way and knocked on the door. "Ashley!" Erik yelled "Don't be a jackass! Open this fuckin door!! Now Ashley!!!!!!" The Dan tried, "Ashley open the freaken door and talk to Kristi!" "Ashley Angel!!!!!! Open the door!!" Kristi tried again but no resonse. "Jake go get your guitar." Jacob obeyed his command and came back with one of his many acoustic gui-tars. "My heart will go on" Kristi said as she cleared her throat. Jacob started to play and Kristi to sing. Ashley thought. Maybe I should let her in Ashley go up and walked to the door and opened it just a crack. Kristi took this opportunity and pushed it open all the way. She pushed on Ashley's shoulders and pinned him on his bed. She leaned in and gave him a long kiss. "Does this mean we're a couple?" Ashley asked breathlessly. "Man! If that doesn't mean you two are a couple then I don't know what does!" Jacob howled from the door. Kristi leaned in again and gave Ashley another kiss. "Why does he get all the luck?" Trevor asked as the rest of O-Town pulled him downs-tairs to leave Kristi and Ashley alone. |
