Hope and Rejection

SUMMARY:
Main Characters: Trever - Even with his tight, tight schedule Trever is dying to have a girlfriend. But when he finally finds a girl he likes he is way to scared to ask her out and open up to her in fear of rejection. He has been rejected to much in the past.

    The Rest of O-town: Ashley - Ashley is the one who Trever goes to talk to. Dan, Jacob and Erik - Help Trever get over his fear of rejection.

    Girl Group CLASS - Members - Melissa, Brittany, Joanne, Jennifer, and Sarah. Class are a major music group. Very popular. O-town basically look up to them. Because of the way they produce and write their own music and of the fame they have received.

    Melissa-She is the youngest of the group. At 20 her music and the group are very im-portant to her since she has been performing with them since she was 14. She is shy when you first meet her but when she starts to trust you and get to know you she is so CRAZY! And she totally wants a boyfriend but she has been hurt to much in the past.

   Brittany - At 21 Brittany is Melissa's best friend since they have known eachother since they were born. She gives Melissa advice and comfort while Melissa is confused out of her mind.

   Joanne - Brittany's sister. At 24 she is the protector of the group if anyone messes with the girls she'll deffinatly kick your @$$!

   Jennifer - the oldest of the group at 25. Always talking to her boyfriend on the phone when they have breaks.

   Sarah - Jennifer's cousin. At 23 she is the partier of the group! Always in the middle of things. Always the one that get's everyone in trouble.

Remember Class are very Sarcastic and funny. They love to laugh and they care about eachother very much since they have been together for 7 years now.

   CHAPTER ONE

(AUTHORS NOTE: To read this story you have to read the characters or else
you want know who people are)

     "What happens when marriage comes along and i've only seen you for three days?" Kelly says.
   Trever kept on repeating this conversation through his head over and over again."It was just another day for her, I can't believe she embarrassed me like that!" He said as he sat on his bed in his room.

Knock, knock. "Yo Trev Mike wants us all at the "Table" when he get's here," Erik said nervously. Trever replied, "Alright, I'll be down."

As Erik shut the door Trever thought....Oh jeez.....just as things could get worse....Mike wants us at the "table" I wonder what's wrong now? As he got up and started for the stairs he heard Ashley say, "Hey wasup Mike?"

Trever sat down at the table just as everyone else did.

As you all know," Mike began. Mike Morin interrupted, "Wait hold on, has everyone read their schedule's yet, because it's all been changed."O-town all shrugged. Mike Cronin proceeded, "As I was saying, as you all know every year Class picks one group or artist to perform at their t.v. special, record with them, and do press with them for 6 months."

"I don't know why you bring this up, It's not like they'll pick us they probably think were nobody's just like N'sync....They'll probably pick them!" Jacob said angrily. "Let me finish Jacob!" Mike replied annoyed,

"You know they respect everyone in the music industry and would never say anything about a group or artist,.....Ok anyways Mike got a interesting phone call today from Janet Maryian, the manager of Class, and they all personally would like you guys to be with them." O-town all looked shocked.

"Stop playing man," Dan said. "Were not," Mike Morin replied, "We wouldn't be lying about this, but the question is do you want to do it?...I mean you just finished touring and it's a lot of work to be with those girls...they treat this very seriously." All five of them answered, "HELL YEA!!"

"OMG......this is tight man!....Were going to be traveling with Class, this is just amazing!" Trever said excitedly. Everyone got up and started hugging each other. "Ok well that's it then, we'll phone them back and say were in," Mike Cronin said.

   "You think they'll turn down?" Sarah asked Jennifer.
   "Pshh.....please... turn down us?" Replied Jennifer.
   "Don't be so cocky!"
   "I was just joking jeez.....tense much?" Just then the phone rang...
"Hello?" Jennifer said, "Oh hi baby! how are you?....I've missed you."
"Jeez....you were on the phone with the guy 20 min ago.....can he wait!? Were busy you know!" Sarah said angrily.But Jennifer woudn't budge.Annoyed Sarah reached for the phone and grabbed it and yelled, "Were busy right now Jason!....I'm sure you under-stand!!....call later...as a matter of fact call tomorrow!!!"And with that she threw the phone across the room.

"You little bitch!.....I have to call him right now and apologize,"Jennifer yelled. "We are waiting for an important answer from some people and all you can think about is your boyfriend!?" Before Sarah could finish the rest of Class and their management came in the room.

"HIDIE HOE RANGER JOES!" Melissa yelled while she jumped on Jennifer's lap.
"Get off me you perv!.....You know your not as light as you used to be!" Jennifer joked. "Jeez.....that hurt tita" Melissa replied.

(AUTHORS NOTE: Sorry Tita is a thing filipino's like to say to their aunts....doesn't mean jenn's her aunt though it's just a thing Filipino kids like to say while they joke around)

"Ok kids calm down," Janet their manager said while sighing, it seemed like she baby-sitted these girls but stayed with them for 7 years because when they needed to be they were mature and adult like, "I have some good news,"
"What your quitting?" Sarah joked while snickering.
"Very funny," replied Janet.
"Mike Morin just phoned back and said that it would be an honour to work with you guys!" "We didn't ask him to be with us," Melissa said half jokingly. Everyone laughed, "What!?" Melissa replied while hiding her smile.
"Be serious!....You know what I mean! O-town agreed to work with you guys!" Janet said.

"WAHOO!!......we get to work with some F I N E guys!!" Brittany said as she threw her hands in the air, "He he just kidding.....hey but ya gotta admit they are fine." "Hey you know we have to be mature about this we didn't pick them just for their looks," Melissa said seriously.
"We know!" The rest of the Class said lazily. "I'm Serious!"
"Anyways...," Joanne interrupted, "When do we start?"
"They come next Monday." Replied Janet, "So see you at 8:00pm Sunday night, have a nice break!" And with that she left room to the front door and left.
"Well i'm going to bed guys ...Goodnight," said Joanne. "Night Jo," replied everyone.
"And I'm going to call back Jason......Night," said Jennifer.

Everyone replied with groans and no goodnights. After it was just Mel, Britt, and Sarah. "So what are we going to do chicas?....Were the only ones who can stay up so late," asked Sarah.
"Not tonight, I'm just going to bed press can be so hard to deal with.....Night," replied Brittany. "Ya I guess i'll go to bed too," Sarah said, "What about you Mel?" "Ya i'll go to bed," Melissa replied.

Just then they all got up and went their separate ways to their bedrooms.

I have the weirdest feeling that something is going to happen when those guys get here   Melissa thought as she got in bed.

      CHAPTER TWO

It was Sunday night and all the girls were in the living room, waiting for Wayde their driver to come back with O-town from the airport.
"Can you stop ripping paper!!??.....It's so annoying!!" Brittany yelled to Sarah.
"I can't help it!....You know I have to do it when I'm bored and nervous!" Sarah replied half apologizing.
"Their no more paper for you to rip," Melissa said as she grabbed all the paper away from her.
"Hey!....Your so mean!" Sarah cried out. Now everyone started talking at once and yelling at each other.
"SHH!!....Their here!" Janet said relieved. And with that they all sat straight and cued Janet to open the door. Janet walked to the door and welcomed everyone into the house, "Hello guys, I'm glad you decided to come out with us!"
"Our pleasure Janet," Mike Morin replied with a huge smile on his face.
"Oh please....leave your luggage's in the hallway...meet the girls first," Janet said, All five guys dropped their suitcases on the floor while groaning.
"Um...Well I'm sure you guys had a long trip so come in here to the living room," Janet said. When they got to the room Janet motioned for the girls to get up. "Damn their finer in person," Melissa muttered to nobody in particular.

*********O-TOWN'S POINT OF VIEW***************

"Damn their finer in person," Erik muttered to Dan. Dan nodded in agreement. "Well guys please meet Mike Morin, Mike Cronin, and O-town!" said Janet excit-edly.

********CLASS POINT OF VIEW********

"Omg... can she be anymore perkier than a cheerleader," Jennifer said under her breath.

(AUTHORS NOTE: PLEASE ANYONE WHO TOOK OFFENSE TO THE CHEERLEADER THING PLEASE DON'T GET MAD....PERSONALLY I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THEM.....BUT REMEMBER THIS IS PURELY FICTION!!!)

"Hey I'm Jennifer, I'm glad you guys are here." The guys all said hello. And it went on like that with every guy and girl. Then when everyone exchanged their hello's Janet began, "Well please sit down and talk with us, we have some sodas and food here."

********O-TOWN'S POINT OF VIEW***********

After and hour getting to know each other and O-town saying how much they look up to Class. Mike Morin interrupted with, "Well enough about chitchat, how about we talk about business?"
"Yes definitely we should talk about what's going to happen," Janet replied put-ting her soda can on the table, "Ok so this is what's going to happen, you guys are going to be living here for about a 2 weeks, each morning getting up at 6:00am be ready by 7:00am, and I think it will be hard for all 8 of you people to get ready but I'm sure you will handle it," Janet kept going on and on while Ash-ley and Jacob had their own conversation by whispering, "Whoa it feels so weird to be in the same room as Class," Ashley said.
"I know but they seem so so...normal," Jacob answered. They both returned to listen to Janet ramble on about their schedule.
"Yes so when the week is over, you will start rehearsing on stage doing sound check everyday at 1:00pm, while later on in the day doing interviews and photo shoots, then the week after that you will be doing the live shows in a different place everyday, with the cameras rolling on for 10 hours a day......... So I know you guys didn't listen to any word a said so you all will get a book with the sched-ules in them I know because the girls don't seem to find it better knowing their schedules by just reading them not listen to me talk. Any questions?"

Everyone shook their heads no.

"Hey what about you, Mike and Mike?" Trevor asked.
"All three of us, including the stylists, publicists, bodyguards, and Wayde all will be living at my house." Janet replied.
"Um......ok," Erik said giving an confused look.
"Yea...so see you guys on Tuesday!" Mike Cronin said. Him, Janet, and the other Mike both went for the door. Jacob heard Janet say to the girls "Be nice." Jacob smirked.
"So.....do you guys want a tour?" Sarah asked them. The guys all said sure.
" Alright so....I guess then....Mel go with Erik, Britt go with Ashley, Jennifer with Jacob, Jo with Dan and I guess Trevor your with me."
"I have a feeling she's the bossy one," Trevor said to Erik.
"I am not! I just was directing people, it's better then us not knowing what to do if I said ok girls pick a guy!" Sarah said annoyingly.
"Uh sorry....I didn't mean it like that I'm sorry," Trevor said a bit scared. "What-ever.....alright everyone split up!"
"Ohhh......that wasn't a good thing to do, and to make it worse she's your part-ner," Dan said smirking as he followed Jo out of the room.
"Look I'm really sorry about that....," Trevor begun saying, but was cut off.
"It's fine. Just follow me," Sarah said a bit hurt.

   CHAPTER THREE

When O-town got the whole tour of the house, and where they would be sleeping ect. Everyone was starved.
"Is anyone hungry?" Jennifer asked.
RRUUMMBBLLEE......."I think my stomach speaks for itself," Melissa said.
"Ok we would cook something guys....but it would take to long so let's just eat junk because it's the last time we will be seeing it for a long time," Sarah said.

***********1 hour later***************

"That was good and all but we have to unpack guys," Erik said as he rubbed his stomach.
"Ya I guess we should," Jacob replied. As the guys were unpacking the girls were cleaning up.
"They are so nice!" Joanne said.
"Ya I know, I really like them," Brittany replied. Brittany looked confused when all of them started to giggle.
"What!?"
"Ya we really noticed you liked them when you started to stare and flirt with Erik," Jennifer said containing herself from the her laughter.
"Oh please I'm sure if you didn't have Jason you would be all over them," Britt replied angrily.
"Whatever you guys can fight, but i don't really want to date any of them cause I just want to be friends," Sarah said as she put the last dish in the dishwasher. "Yea me too," Everyone replied after the other.
"Yea me too, I just said I liked him not date him," Britt said. After the long silence of cleaning up. The girls all went their seperate ways.

MELISSA'S THOUGHTS: sigh...."Yea me too.......if they just knew."

~~~~~~~~~~Jacob and Ashley~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"It's so cool being here with Class............Jeez....I feel like were excepted now," Jacob said with a huge smile on his face.
"I know right I can't wait till everyone finds out," Ashley replied smiling with him. And they went back to their unpacking, but were inturrupted with a knock.
"Hey sup guys I just wanted to come check out your room cause i'm done," Erik said as he plopped on jacob's bed. And with that they started to talk about what lie ahead of them for the next couple of months.

~~~~~~~~~Dan & Trever~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hey guys I just came to check up on ya'll," Melissa said as she helped Trever with his toppled clothes on the ground.
"Hey!.. Thanks," replied Trever.
"Is that a full sized court?" Dan asked as him gazed out the window.
"Yup, we love our basketball," Melissa giggled, "Ya wanna play some one on one Dan?"
"Naw I don't want to beat you the first day I meet you," Dan replied now facing her.
"No, No, No....you did not just be cocky with me. Let's go boy," Melissa said as she walked out the door.
"C-ya Trev I'm done here," Dan said as he followed Melissa. A couple min later....
"Sorry Trev...I'm so rude...You wanna play?" Melissa said.
"Naw It's alright, I've heard you girls are awesome at bball, I'll take a raincheck," Trever replied.
"Suite yourself," then Melissa left.

     CHAPTER FOUR

~~~~~~~~~~1 HOUR LATER~~~~~~~~~

"OH!!!!........Let's play Survivor!" Jennifer yelled.
"Woah!.........She doesn't want to talk to Jason...OMG It's a miracle!" Said Sarah. "Oh shut up we have guests and besides he's at work," Jenn replied. Sarah rolled her eyes.Then the back door opened with a sweaty Dan and Melissa. "Eww..........I feel so gross!" Melissa said with a discusted look on her face.
"Then go take a shower....but hurry if ya wanted to play Survivor," Sarah said as she turned her back.
"Dan if ya want to take a shower go ahead and use the one down your hall," Melissa said as she ran up the wooden stairs. 45 minutes later Melissa and Dan were done with their showers and were heading for the living room finding every-one already there setting up the game.
"So who won?" Erik asked.
"Of course me!.....j/k naw it was a tie 99-99 we didn't want to finish the game be-cause we were so tired," Dan said as Melissa was trying to hold her laughter. As Jacob was looking at Melissa he said,
"That wasn't the real score was it?"
"No," Dan replied with Melissa letting out her laughter,
" I beat him so bad!.....It was 110 - 90." Joanne started giggling. Then everyone started laughing with Dan looking sad.
"Awwwwwww.......It's ok man, you learned your lesson right?" Ashley said as him pinched his cheeks.
" Ok shutup were making him feel bad, let's just start playing....you guys we al-ready picked the teams so ya whatever," Trever said. The teams were Trever, Erik, Joanne, Brittany and Sarah. And the other team was Melissa, Jenn, Jacob, Ashley and Dan. By the end of the game it was Trever and Ashley and they rest of the people had to vote who was going to win.
"Ok I know I haven't known you guys for that long," Trever rolling his eyes as Ashley spoke:
"But I'm a sweet, nice guy who deserves to win..........so please vote for me."
"Oh please," Trever began.
" Ok If ya'll don't vote for me I will be the sadest person in the world and if you guys (pointing to O-town) If you don't vote for me I will tell all your embarrissing stories!" Jacob coughed.........."Um.....ok Let's vote."

   CHAPTER FIVE

When everyone voted Melissa went to count the votes. 1 for Ashley.... "Yes!" Ashley yelled as he threw his hands in the air.
"Um.........ok....2 for Ashley," Melissa continued. And it went on and on every vote saying Ashley.
"Well I guess Ashley won," said Erik.
"No shit sherlock," Trever said as he had a discusted look on his face.
"I guess you shouldn't threaten the people that are voting then huh?" said Sarah. "Whatever," Trever replied.
"Yes I won fair and square," said Ashley then yawning, "Man I'm tired I'm going to bed."
"Me too," said Jennifer. And so everyone decided to go to bed.
"See ya'll in the morning," Yelled Joanne before she went into her bedroom. Eve-ryone was sound asleep except one person........

~~~~~~~~~~~~THE NEXT MORNING~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

6:00am everyone was eating breakfast except one person who was still asleep. "Yo where's Jenn?" asked Brittany.
"Still asleep I guess," replied Melissa.
"OMG.....please do not tell me she stayed up all night talking to Jason, please, please , please tell me she didn't!" whined Joanne. Just then a exhausted Jenni-fer came in with her sweat suit on and her hair in a messy pony tail.
"Speaking of the little girl," Jacob said as he nearly crashed into her while putting his plate away.
"Jeez Jenn!.........What's your problem!? You knew we had to get up early but nnoooooo.......you just had to stay up and talk to Jason all night! You know you have some nerve!" Melissa yelled.
"Can you just shutup Melissa!? You know what? Your just jeoulus because you don't have a bf! Ok!? Little miss I think I run everything! Ok....listen to me.....I stayed up! I woke up on time! And I am driving us to the studio ok! I have every-thing in control so don't worry about me!" And with that Jennifer took Sarah's toast and went to the car outside.
"I was going to eat that!" Sarah whined. With that everyone groaned and grabbed their food and went to the car also leaving O-town in the kitchen.
"What just happened here?" Erik asked.
"I don't know but i think we should hurry up or else were going to get our assess whooped up pretty soon," Ashley replied. As the left the house Jacob said, "Jeez.........their worse than how Jay was." The whole ride there all the noise that was in the car was the radio. They arrived at 10 to 7 and met Doc Holiday in the studio and they spent 6 hours each (group) and were tired, hungry and cranky by the time they got home.

~~~~~~~~~AT HOME~~~~~~~~~~

(With Melissa, Brittany and Sarah)
"Yo Mel," Sarah said as they sorted their dirty laundry.
"Ya?" Melissa replied.
"You know with the last chorus to Up in Light? There's something missing it's like your missing a beat,"
"But Doc told me to do that, it's not missing a beat."
"Yes it is, Doc said the "Up in the light with you" part i mean the "Till you come back" part. It's missing a beat."
"No it's not when I switched parts with you, you were doing it before me so it's right."
"No it's not, it's wrong Mel..."
"No it's freakin' not! It's not wrong! I know it isn't"
"Mel she's telling you nicely she's not trying to pick a fight," Britt butted in.
"I know!...Mel what' your problem first you yell at Jenn now me!?....I mean your cranky in the morning but it doesn't usually last for this long," Sarah said half an-gry half worried.
"You just do my part then! Ok you know what maybe I am cranky ok? I am ex-hausted from a full day of dancing and singing ok...."
"Your not the only one exhausted Mel!....You forget were doing the same thing as you...It's not only you in that conceited mind of yours."
"Oh jeez," Britt muttered.
"Ok you know what!? You did not just go there! I don't need to take this from you!" And with that Melissa ran up to her room and slammed her door while eve-ryone else stood in confusion.
"You shouldn't of called her conceited," Britt said to Sarah.
"Well you know what? She brought that up all on herself.� The whole week Melissa was like that with no one knowing what was wrong. The girls feelings turned from angry to being worried finding out she hadn't even told Brittany what was wrong. O-town being worried also watched what they said around her knowing from the girls that when she was like this she took things the wrong way.

Saturday afternoon having the day off. Trever decided to go for run. As he ran about two blocks down the street he found an area filled with trees and under one of them sat Melissa just sitting there doing not nothing but seemed to be in deep thought. Not wanting to bother her he jogged the other way.
"Hey Trev....Where ya going?" Melissa yelled. So Trever jogged back to her spot. "I just thought you wanted to be alone so I didn't want to bother you," he replied. "No it's fine come sit down."
"Really?"
"Ya, why?"
"I don't know um......it's just that you haven't been the most friendliest person this week"
"Ya I'm sorry about that I'm not like this. You guys probably think I'm a total bitch."
"No from the things the girls tell us it's more like worried."
"Really?"
"Ya"
"Oh"
"I know I haven't talked to you much but I really want to get to know you, during interviews and stuff you seem so interesting"
"Well thank you. Well there's not much to know"
"How about what's bothering you lately?"
"You�re a nosy one aren't ya?"
" I try" LOL...
"I'm sorry but I don't really want to talk about it."
"It's ok I'm not forcing you but I think you should tell one of the girls because we�re all really worried about you and no offense and all but your making every-one screw up during rehearsal" Lol....
"Ya i know I'm sorry. You know what? I might just go tell somebody right now. Thanks Trev your the best"
"Your welcome. Come on let's go back"

~~~~~~~~~When the got to the house they found everyone in the front yard just sitting around doing nothing~~~~~~~~

"Hey you guys!" Jacob yelled.
"Hey!" Trever replied. Melissa waved.
"Hey gurlies can I talk to you for a minute," Melissa asked.
"Sure," They all said.
"Sorry guys girl talk," Joanne said as they went inside.
"What's that all about Trev?" Erik asked.
"I think she's telling them what's wrong."
"Oh good cause were worried just as much as they are."

     CHAPTER SIX
