| 8.12.02 Whats goin on everybody..... We are all very excited. We've been in the studio working very hard writing, recording and producing this album that we've pushed back so many times. The songs that we're coming out of the studio with are crazy and we can't wait for you guys to hear it. However, we did push the album back one last time to mid October. For all the latest updates you can finally go check out the new and improved www.o- town.com which was revamped for 02. Believe it or not, even though we have no music out right now, we're still really busy. The traveling has been just as intense because we've been all over the country working with producers and doing one off shows. In a couple days we'll be heading to Germany to attend the VIVA awards where we're nominated in 2 categories....so keep your fingers crossed. So again, thank you so much for the support without any material in the market. We owe this new album to you all the truly loyal fans. Don't get us wrong....we love to see all of our fans....but we can't help it if we are a little overly friendly with our STREET TEAM. So, when you come to see us in concert....LET US KNOW YOU ARE A PART OF THE STREET TEAM!....don't be bashful....We realize that you have been waiting patiently for our new single to hit the RADIO....for our VIDEO to hit (which we will start shooting as soon as Dan gets a tan....just kidding)....WE CAN'T WAIT EITHER!!!!!!!!!! SERIOUS... But in the meantime all of you can help us by continuing to do what you have always done.....KICK SOME MAD PLUMPY REAR END..(if you know what we mean) In the last few months the STREET TEAM has grown and the only reason is because of YOUR LOUD TALKING LIPS MOMMA!! Because of your efforts to recruit other STREET TEAM members the OTOWN STREET TEAM IS READY TO ATTACK..... At this moment we are in the STUDIO IN MIAMI with our boy ALI DEE and he says to say that "the joint is hot...off the chain".....we are RE- singing some vocals on a track called " A GIRL LIKE THAT" (getting it perfect...that's a song that Ashley, Trevor, Dan and Rich Cronin co- wrote) It's hot as YOU KNOW WHAT down here...unfortunately there were no recording studios on the beach. Well, all of us are starving so we are going to eat lunch....Sub sandwiches and juice...you know us, were easy to please. Check your email frequently because as the album approaches its release -- AUGUST 27th -- we will be keeping everyone informed of the latest info-- in a nutshell, we will be writing more love letters. WE ARE LITERALLY ONLY A FEW WEEKS AWAY FROM THE RELEASE OF THE 2nd ALBUM!!!! IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW ALREADY....THE TITLE OF OUR SECOND ALBUM WILL BE......(cue drum roll)......O2......THE LETTER O (not a zero) and the number two!! WE WERE PLAYING WITH IDEAS AND THAT ONE JUST STUCK. .....O2......catchy huh? NOT ONLY IS IT THE YEAR OUR SOPHOMORE RECORD WILL HIT SHELVES ALL OVER THE WORLD (2002) IT JUST MAKES SENSE THAT OTOWN'S 2ND ALBUM WILL BE CALLED SIMPLY.....O2. AS WE WRITE THIS WE ARE AT A RECORDING STUDIO IN ORLANDO FLORIDA SINGING OUR HEARTS OUT AND PUTTING FINAL TOUCHES ON SEVERAL SONGS THAT YOU WILL HERE WITHIN A MATTER OF WEEKS!! WE HAVE PUT TOGETHER WHAT WE ARE CALLING THE "OTOWN O2 PREVIEW TOUR".....it starts MAY 15th and it is the only way to hear new OTOWN songs before THE ALBUM RELEASE IN JULY. THIS IS THE MOST EXCITED WE HAVE EVER BEEN AND WHAT MAKES IT EVEN BETTER IS KNOWING THAT WE HAVE ALL OF YOU STREET TEAM MEMBERS SUPPORTING US AND BELIEVING IN US EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. ERIK AND TREVOR ARE LOOKING AT THE PICTURES FROM OUR ALBUM PHOTO SHOOT...THEY'RE REALLY COOL.....WE TOOK THEM IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ON THE BEACH IN MALIBU....WE THINK YOU'LL LIKE THEM A LOT. AS SOME OF YOU MAY KNOW WE'VE DECIDED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM FILMING A 4TH SEASON OF MAKING THE BAND SO THAT WE COULD CONCENTRATE MORE ON OUR MUSIC. WE FELT THAT WE COULDN'T DEVOTE AS MUCH TIME AS WE NEEDED TO MAKE A GREAT ALBUM WITHOUT THE TV SHOW SUFFERING...SO WE HAD TO CHOOSE. DON'T BE SAD, THAT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN THAT THERE WON'T EVER BE ANOTHER MAKING THE BAND!! ACTUALLY, WE MIGHT BE IN THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS FOR THE LONGEST RUNNING REALITY TV SHOW WITH THE SAME CAST!!....NOW IT IS TIME FOR US TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT IT HAS REALLY BEEN ABOUT FROM THE VERY BEGINNING....THE MUSIC. WE WILL BE SHOOTING OUR VIDEO SOON SO MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR EMAIL AS WE WILL BE WRITING MORE LETTERS THE CLOSER WE GET TO ITS PREMIERE ON TRL. SOOOOO HOOOTTTTT. 4.15.02 CALLING ALL STREET TEAM MEMBERS- THE ALBUM IS ALMOST DONE!!!! We can't wait for you to hear it either.....you know what this means right?....VERY SOON we will be SHOOTING THE VIDEO and heading out on tour to come hang out with you in your hometowns. We are still in SUNNY CALIFORNIA where TREVOR and JACOB have been close enough to home to actually spend some time there with their families. If we have a morning off you can find JACOB on the beach with his surfboard and wetsuit---TREVOR is all over the place and we usually need a satellite tracking system to find him. Actually, both Ash and Trevor just recently stopped by Trevors hometown highschool and performed at the PEP RALLY with the principal and two teachers.....(it was a dance to ALL4LOVE......) Erik and Dan have been busy touching up vocals on a song called "I showed her" which is a ballad we recently recorded with SHEP CRAWFORD, who is an incredible songwriter and has worked a lot with BOYZ II MEN plus too many others to list. We wanted to write you and let you know that this album is almost.....FINALLY DONE!! We are singing as fast as we can to finish it for you.......we send our love and we will talk to you soon.......SINCERELY....-US 4.2.02 DEAR STREET TEAM MEMBERS- IT'S BEEN WAY TOO LONG SINCE WE'VE WRITTEN!!!! By now your all probably wondering to yourselves what in the world has been happening recently and this is gonna take a big breath and a really long run-on sentence SO HERE WE GO..... We just recently got back from our European tour where all of us learned to speak a little German, came back with suitcases splitting open at the seams full of souvenirs, and on the last day of our very last performance Ashley slipped off a stage in front of about 15,000 German fans because of some water and had to walk around all of the airports on the flight home with one of those travel pillows for planes strapped to his neck---then, we began recording in Los Angeles where the 2nd OTOWN ALBUM IS FINALLY COMING TOGETHER!....(no one is more excited than we are)....followed by a very busy schedule of finishing our demos and songs we have written.......AND getting ready to go out on tour again in MAY BEFORE OUR ALBUM COMES OUT JULY 9TH!!!......phew, there we said it. Now that we are back in America and we have adjusted to the time again (for a while we were sleeping all day and staying up all night) we will be in touch a lot more.....we send our love to all of the fans who have been writing us constantly to let us know we were missed while we were away from home.
