From a very young age, he can remember watching Michael Jackson tapes and thinking he was the most incrediable performer ever.
Ashley has been playing piano since he was 4,, and he even plays it durring their concert! He has also been playing guitar since he was 12, when he taught himself how to play. Little by little he started singing while playing. Although he had a few vocal lessons for a play, he basically taught himself to sing.
Ashley used to get something called a "break down" which is a daily fax with different parts casting agents are looking for. And luckily for us, he saw the O-Town auditions on it, because of Making the Band, and went, and now look where he is! He says the minute he went to that audition, his life changed!
Ashley wears both boxers and briefs although he like Calvin Klein briefs.
Ashley is very ticklish on the sides of his stomach. He laughs at ridiculous humor, such as, SNL, Monty Python, Robin Williams or Jim Carey.
Although he's a California guy, he doesn't know how to surf.
Ashley says that yes, he is religious; he believes in god very strongly and believes that he plays a very big part in our lies. He tries to live his life everyday so that he would be happy.
Ashley says he usually goes into AOL chat rooms to chat.
In his spare time, he likes to write. O-Town wants to include as many songs written by them on their albums as posible.
He's a big time Superman fan, and if you've followed the second season, you can tell, because you'd have seen his room at the mansion, decorated in Superman. When he was 6 he has a pajama suit with a red cape, and would always wear it to sleep in. He thought that he could really fly
Ashley's earliest memory is of him getting in trouble. He had taken this thing of kite string nd spilled it all over, and made a big mess, this was when he was about 3. Ashley says "See, my first experience is of me getting in trouble and it still hasn't changed."
Ashley's step-dad taught him to play guiar and drums. Hoover wanted to give Ashley a guitar, but Ashley insisted he bought it. So Ashley paid a dollar for it. He has this to say about Ashley's success"He's probable one of the most talented person to come out of Redding."
Ashley auditioned for Making the Band in Las Vegas, NV. He sang a song he wrote and accompanied himself on the guitar.
