| CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE ~ Together at Last, Together Forever?? |
| "Ikaika, Jacob, Ashley, Erik," Lou named off the final five one by one, interrupted frequently by shrieks of excitemeny and joy from the choosen ones. "Before I name the fifth and final O-Town memeber, I'd like to take this time to congratulate each and every one of you. All of you have made is proud and represented well every single male who auditioned for this part. This was a very difficult decision, one I would have rather not made, but the fifth and final member of O-Town is Trevor." "Oh my God," Trevor exclaimed through tears of happiness. "I can't believe this. I didn't think I had a chance in hell." "Congrats, buddy," Mike patted Trevor's back as he pulled the newly named O-Town along with Bryan and Lou together for one final group hug. "I'm sorry guys," Lou apologized to Mike and Bryan. "I wish I could make a seven man boyband, but I can't and I'm really sorry." "Lou, you made a good choice," Mike continued to stay strong, so as to not let the others in on the pain he was really feeling. "We knew from the beginning this was going to be a five man group, and I think I speak for everyone when I say we enjoyed the experience, and learnt a lot." "I wish you and Bryan both luck in the future," Lou wiped away the tears he for so long refused to let fall. "Shit, I have to phone my sister. She's gonna be going nuts waiting to hear," Ashley blurted out, ruining the 'sentimental' moment. "No need to phone her," Lou laughed. "Nicole and Rachel are in the driveway waiting. I told them not to bother driving all the way home and waiting for the phone to ring when I was sure it wouldn't take that long." Ashley ran out the front door where he saw Nicole standing facing the road twirling her hair nervously. He ran up behind her, picked her up and began spinning her in circles. "I made it! I'm in! I'm gonna be like the Backstreet Boys and *Nsync." "Ashley, I knew you'd make it. I'm so proud of you Ash," Nicole continued to squeeze her brother. "What about you Jacob?" she turned to look into the eyes of the guy she truly loved but wouldn't admit to loving. "Did you make it Jacob?" Jacob twiddled his fingers nervously and focused his eyes on the ground. "I'm sorry, but..." "Jacob, how could you have mot made the band? You were a shoe in from the beginning. You got my vote." "Nikki, let the boy finish before you jump to conclusions," Rachel laughed, knowing that Jacob had probably made it and was just tring to get a reaction out of Nicole. "Well, I'm sorry," Jacob continued, his frown slowly twisting into a smile. "But you Nicole are going to have to put up with me for a really long time, 'cause I'm goin' on tour with your big bro!" "Aaahhhh," nicole screeeched as she wrapped her arms around Jacob's neck and captured his lips on a heated kiss. "Congratulations jacke. You'll do wonderfully, i know you will." "Congrats guys," Rachel offered her congratulations while leading the way inside. That night most of the guys passed the time away in the living room with Mike and Bryan who would be leaving the next morning. The reminised of the last few weeks they had spent together and promised that they would keep in touch with each other. "Mike, I'm sorry you didn't make it. I'm really gonna miss you," Rachel cried as she hugged one of the guys she had grown exptremely close to and now had to say goodbye to. "I'm not good at these farewell speeches," she admitted as everyone stood in the airport the next morning. "Stay strong Rach, and don't let these guys run all over you. If you need someone to help you keep them under control you got my number." After Bryan and Mike had boarded their planes, the remaining five sadly walked back to their van and Rachel's car which were in the airport parking lot. "Hey guys cheer up," Rach tried to lighten the mood. "It's not like you'll never see Mike and Bryan again. They have to come back and do press interviews with you as eight until the public know the final five. How about dinner at Nicole amd my place tonight? Kind of like a welcome to O-Town celebration." "Sound good," Jacob agreed standing behind Nicole, his arms wrapped tight around her waist. "Are you two together again?" Ikaika changed the subject. "Ikaika, it's really none of your business," Rachel answered knowing that neither Nicole nor Jacob really knew what was going on between the two fo them. "Now, Nicki, Ashley, and Jacob, you get in my car. The rest of you get in the van and follow me back to my place." "So, Jake, Nicole, you never answered ikaika's questions," Erik grinned evily while standing in the kitchen which belonged to both Rachel and Nikki. "Are you two finally together?" "Shut up," Trevor protected as he picked up a roll that was sitting on the kitchen counter and threw it in Erik's direction. "Food fight!" Ikaika yelled as everyone started grabbing the closest thing and hurling it towards other people. Soon there was food flying everywhere, and Nicole and Jacob ducked out of the kitchen so as to not get hit by the flying food. "He got potato salad on my shirt," Nicole laughed. "I'm just gonna go upstairs and change it." "I'll come with you," Jacob followed her up the stairs and into her room. "What's this?" he asked, while she went into the bathroom to change, picking up letters from Harvard, USC, Michigan State, California State, and Yale. "Is there something you're not telling me?" "Um, it's nothing Jake. Just some junk mail," Nicole threw the letters back in her drawer and went down the stairs to join everyone else again. |
