"I don't care if she's here or not!"
"Nic, she's probably worried about you. Don't you just want to let her know that everything is alright?"
"Everything isn't alright," she screamed. "Aaron is dead and it's all my fault," Jacob took Nicole in his arms and attempted to console her over the loss that he knew was taking a devestating effect on the girl he was falling in love with.
Rachel poked her head inside the chapel doors as Mrs. Angel and Ashley followed hoping to find Nicole. "Baby," Mrs. Angel started. "Nicole, I'm here. How are you doing sweetheart?"
"It's all my fault Mommy. Aaron is dead because of me."
"Nicole Alyssa Angel, you know this has nothing to do with you. You did everything you could to try to help that boy, but he obviously didn't want to be helped. You have the biggest heart possible, sweetheart, and I know that Aaron wouldn't want to see you so upset like this."
"Y'all seem pretty smart. Y'all keep telling me that Aaron wouldn't want this and Aaron wouldn't want that, but I know what he would have wanted, and it's not what any of you are saying. Why the hell are you all trying to act like you're Aaron and you can make his mind up for him? You have no flippin' idea what Aaron would have wanted! All of you just leave me alone! Get away from me and just leave me alone!" she ran out of the chapel screaming and sobbing. Mrs. Angel chased after her daughter to the doors, where Ashley told her to go no further.
"Ash, you don't know what she's going to do. That's my baby girl hurting like that. I can't let anything happen to her, and if it does I'll never forgive myself. I have to go after her."
"Mom, I know you want to be here for her, but we have to think of a different way to do this. She isn't responding to any of our previous methods. Maybe she just needs some time to be by herself to think about whats going on. Shes afraid, and Aaron was the first guy she ever really loved. She needs time to let things settle in without everyone trying to tell her what to do."
"Mrs. Angel, I don't mean to intrude where its none of my business, but maybe Ash is right. Since this has happened, Nicole has had constant attention 24-7 maybe she just needs time to herself," Rachel interrupted when she saw Mrs. Angel ready to argue with her son.
"Well, I hope you two are right because if anything happens to Nicole..."
"Nothings going to happen, Mom. She's alot smarter then what we give her credit for sometimes."
Nicole ran out of the hospital and down to the water which was close by. She found a dry rock out in the water and sat on it siiting and listening to the waves crash around her. "Aar, I know that I said a lot of nasty things to you the last night we were together, but I didn't mean them. I really did love you, and I always will. Your my one and only true love, and I promise you that I won't let anyone else take your place. Not Jacob, not anyone. Oneday, hopefully soon, we'll be together again and we can live happily ever after like we always used to plan. If your paying any attention to Ash, don't cause he doesn't know what hes talking about. He's trying to tell me what you would have wanted, but I know hes not right, and I know that your parents were wrong to let the doctors kill you. I know that you would have come around and been okay and then I could have gone back to Cali with you and we could have been happy again. I just wanted you to be happy. All I ever wanted was to help you straighten up your life and for you to be happy. I love you Aaron, and from this day on I've made you my promise to never love again! You Aaron Neville, were and still are the only one for me," she sat quietly. tears pouring from her eyes, staring out at the vast ocean that surrounded her. "Someday, Aaron, someday, together we will be happy."
