The exchange between my school,"Ioan Bob"School in Cluj- Napoca, Romania and "High Arcal" School in Dudley, England started in 1992. Since then, year by year,a team of English teachers and pupils come to spend a week in our school, and the next year our team goes to England.
I was in England with a group of schoolmates and three teachers. We went in Dudley for a week and we travelled by minibus from Cluj to the Budapest airport and from Budapest to London by plane and from London to Dudley by coach.
We left Cluj on the 9th of October and we returned on the 18th of October.
It was a great week for me.
We arrived in Dudley in the afternoon of the 10th of October and at "High Arcal School" we met our exchange partners.
On Saturday morning we went to school at a buffet to say HELLO!
On Sunday I was with Christopher"s family and with other children at the bowling and then we went to Mc.Donald's.
On Monday morning I went to school with Christopher. There I noticed that we learn certain things that they learn now in a lower grade.In the afternoon we, the Romanians, went to visit the townhouse of Dudley. We met the mayor there.
On Tuesday morning we visited "Bramford School".
On Wednesday we went by train to visit the capital city of England, London. First we visited Trafalgar Square, after that we saw Buckingham Palace. We continued with Tower Bridge, Westminster Bridge finishing the tour with St.Paul's Cathedral. We also saw the Tower of London. We had the chance to admire the famous London during a boat stroll on the river Thames.
On Thursday morning we went to swim at Crystal Leisure Pool, where we all had fun! In the afternoon we went to Mary Hill where we bought a lot of things.
On Friday morning we went to Alton Towers, a fair, where we had a lot of fun! In the evening I packed my things.
On Saturday morning I said" thank you for your hospitality" and I said" Goodbye" to Barfoot family.
Then we went to Heathrow airport and we took the plane to Budapest. And we returned to Cluj in minibus.
I am really glad and grateful to my school because it gave me the opportunity to visit London and the chance to make new friends!
