SOTA Toys have just released their excellent Charmed figures, and I just couldn't wait to start adding to them :) So here is the begginnings of Chris, season 6's mystery whitelighter from the future (and yes, I know who he is, but as I was appalled to stumble accross such a fact with no warning, I'm not posting it out of courtesy to others like me who havn't seen all of this season and really didn't want to know!)
Anyway yes, here is Chris. The base figure is Oz from BtVS. I sanded away his hair and resculpted it, then I sanded down the sleeves on his t-shirt and sculpted these long sleeves. One thing I was quite pleased with is the wrinkles in his sleeves...they looked awful when I sculpted them and I didn't think they were going to work, but then I painted them and was pleasently surprised :) I was also quite pleased with Oz's left hand...when held out like that it looks like some kind of spell-casting pose....not that Chris really does that, but I thought it looked cool so there :-p
Oz is quite a short guy, so I made Chris a bit taller by adding to his legs at the thigh swivel. When standing next to the Charmed girls, he's still not as tall as he should be, but I didn't want the figure to end up looking disproportionate. I'm really pleased with how he turned out. |
